Location Quick Reference

The Location Quick Reference is a 'walkthrough' meant for players to easily see at a glance what they might need to buy or do at a particular location. Locations are generally laid out based on the rank in which players will be able to access them. The King's Gauntlet location is listed separately because this location has multiple stages with increasing rank recommendations.

Players will occasionally need to travel to another location other than their current hunting ground in order to purchase cheese, traps and crafting materials, such as returning to the Town of Gnawnia to restock on standard cheese.

The Prerequisites and Next Recommended Destination sections aid in the navigation within this page. Clicking on the location links will bring you to the respective location within the Location Quick Reference article. All other links will bring you to the respective pages.

For Newcomers

This section is for players new to the game, and covers the locations first available to players at the ranks of Novice, Recruit, Apprentice, Initiate, and Journeyman. For those totally new to the game, see Starting out to read the tutorial. Recommended Ranks lists the ranks that you should ideally be spending around that location. Beyond those ranks, and armed with a better trap, you will get better gold and points return by advancing to the Next Recommended Destinations.

For Experienced Hunters

The following sections are for more experienced hunters, covering all regions that can be accessed by hunters with a rank of Master and above. The locations are organized in a typical order based on the minimum rank needed for access. The game offers multiple branches to hunters and hunters are encouraged to find their own path. Hunters will not necessarily encounter locations in the order they are presented in this guide.

Minimum and Recommended Traps do not include any Limited Edition weapons as they are not readily purchasable. Hunters are encouraged to experiment with bases to find the right one for their current needs. Additionally, Recommended Cheese is but a guideline. Depending on individual requirements, such as gathering stale cheese, hunters might consider using Cheddar or White Cheddar instead, and so on. Next Recommended Destination points the way to locations that hunters will need to follow in order to progress in the game. Recommended destinations do not necessarily offer improved gold or points return from the current location, since this varies with each location.
