Mice in Haunted Terrortories

There are additional mice in the Haunted Terrortories, presumably once hunter unlocks the Haunted Mansion / Pumpkin Patch. When we have more info, it might be good to create separate lists as in King's Gauntlet and Seasonal Garden. -- camomiletea 22:22, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

No time to update now, but I've reached the Haunted Manor, and it seems that the same mice as in the Corn Field Maze are still there, and additionally the following mice appear as well: Zombot Unipire, Giant Snail, Bat, Ghost, Mummy, Zombie, Ravenous Zombie, Vampire. -- camomiletea 23:47, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

I think the writeup as it is currently is slightly misleading: "requiring a minimum rank of Recruit to enter". Every MouseHunt player is at least a Recruit - that is the minimum rank you can have already. So I think that it should say that there really aren't requirements. Everyone can access regardless of their rank. Thoughts? -- camomiletea 13:04, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Recruit comes after Novice, so not every MouseHunt player has access. You can double check on the Hunter's Title page. Draobyek 13:20, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Boss Mice

How should we add the boss mice to this page? Should we add the Trick and the Treat into the PP section, and then the Gourdborg separately, or should we put them all in a table and call it Boss Mice?

Any thoughts? -- S18067 talkcontr 06:13, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

I added them all in the Pumpkin Patch, but I think we need a write-up in the Hunting Strategy explaining how to get those, that they aren't always available, but only available at the completion of the bar thingie. -- camomiletea 13:37, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
You could add a * or ^ beside it and make a remark at the bottom of the table briefly stating the requirements. More specific writeup could be in both the respective Mouse page as well as the location hunting strategy. -- Grexx 18:03, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Mice table layout

It might be more visually appealing as well as easier to read if all the 3 mice tables were combined into a single set. The sub-locations can be compressed into 3 additional columns, using the now standard 'X' to denote availability of each mouse type in each sub-location. See below. If interested, please implement :) -- Grexx 18:20, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

On progress reset

When I caught Gourdborg mouse that catch apparently was registered as the boss catch in the Pumpkin Patch AND as the first catch in the Corn Field Maze when I refreshed my camp page. I suppose it could be a bug... I'll see if I experience the same thing next time. -- camomiletea 04:56, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

The forums, and my own experience, confirm that capturing the Gourdborg also counts as the first hunt of your next cycle through the Corn Field Maze. -- ericb talkcontr 21:31, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

Event End

On previous events (for example, Heart of the Tiger Party), when the event ended, you were automatically kicked back to Town of Gnawnia. But I've intentionally stayed in Haunted Terrortories to see what the 'kick-out' message would be. And to my surprise, it looks like the event has ended, but I'm still stuck here! The Heads-up Display is gone, the mice are no longer in costume, the Gifting of pumpkin treat basket is over. And the Travel map has been updated in-game to call it 'King's Party Zone' instead of 'Haunted Terrortories', with the destination having a lock icon (similar to Forbidden Grove when it is closed). I guess that means there's no automatic kick-out this time around, but once you leave you can't come back. Can we get this confirmed, before writing it up in the wiki? -- ericb talkcontr 18:11, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

It changed again, and I still haven't moved! I'm now in the 'Empty Event Lot' instead of the 'King's Party Zone'. And all I can catch are White, Brown, and Grey mice. -- ericb talkcontr 18:23, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
The ticker confirms it: "The Halloween event has come to an end. Hope everyone had spooky amounts of fun!"; "The Haunted 'Terrortories' are gone, leaving hunters in an empty lot to allow them to travel away safely." -- ericb talkcontr 18:26, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

Separate 2011 and 2010 Mice

If we want to put in info regarding which mice are available with and without Spooky charm, I think we should separate the mice table for last year and this year. This will also alleviate inconsistencies stemming from new mice, old mice in different locations, etc. Easiest would probably be to refer back to the table in a revision before this year's event and build this year's from scratch. Each area (Corn Maze, etc) would then span two columns with "no charm", "Spooky charm" underneath. --Hyperchao 20:54, 20 October 2011 (UTC)

Here's a draft, I got the data here. Some splitting/meging at the header row would make the table look neater, but I don't know how to do it. — YiKai 22:46, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

I modified your table in-place for the header reformat, but it doesn't quite allow sorting by each column. -- ericb talkcontr 23:14, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
A bit more tweaking and sorting seems reasonable. -- ericb talkcontr 01:01, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Sorry if it's too much to ask from you, but is it possible to place the subregions in the first row and start sorting from the second row? something like this. makes more sense to me. Thanks in advance YiKai 17:37, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Wish I could arrange things like in your graphic. But the way table sorting works, only the top row of a table can hold the sort arrows, and the use of class="sortbottom" means you can only have at most a two-row header when you start playing games with colspan and rowspan. If we put the subregion on top, then you only get one sort arrow, not two, for normal vs. spooky :( -- ericb talkcontr 22:06, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
Ok then, if there's no response from User:Hyperchao, I think it's ready to be transferred over to the main namespace. YiKai 16:15, 24 October 2011 (UTC)

Had limited Internet this past week. The table looks great. I too tried to put the sublocations on the first row while maintaining sort by charm/no charm, so I like your solution. --Hyperchao 10:27, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
