The Nerg Tribe use the tall grass for camouflage and the sturdy trees as defensive positions making their village hard to infiltrate. Use of a Tactical trap is highly recommended when hunting for the Nerg.

Description and Requirements

The Nerg Plains is a location in the Tribal Isles region requiring a minimum rank of Legendary and crafted Ocean Navigation Kit to enter. Mice in this location may steal points, gold, or multiple pieces of cheese if not captured.

Shops

There are no shops available in Nerg Plains. Shops for the Tribal Isles region can be found in the Cape Clawed.

Hunting Strategy

Cheese Usage

SUPER brie+ and Gouda should be used if you are looking for Savoury Vegetables, though Brie can also be used with some success. Gumbo should be used if you are looking for Yellow Pepper Seed and the Ancient Ripped Blueprint.

Chameleon Mice can occasionally be encountered in Nerg Plains when not using Gouda or SUPER|brie+.

Hunting tips by Larry

Oh, it’s you! I can barely see you over the tall grass! The terrain here makes it quite easy to hide, something the mice of the Nerg Tribe take full advantage of. It's not uncommon for the Nerg to spring an ambush and pillage your supplies of cheese.

Members of the Nerg Tribe mostly keep to themselves, but are very territorial. They attack enemy tribes or hunters the moment they step foot on their corner of the island. To be successful hunting here you will need either Gouda or SUPER|brie+ as bait, along with a strong Tactical weapon.

It seems the Nerg enjoy farming. They often carry batches of unique Savory Vegetables, which they combine with Curds and Whey over heat to make a gooey mess called Gumbo Cheese. I do not recommend eating any yourself, as most humans have a hard time smelling it, let alone keeping it down. The Nerg leaders are the most territorial of all, so don’t equip your Gumbo Cheese lightly!

Now MouseHunter, bait your trap, lay low in the tall grass and keep your nose keen for the scent of Savory Vegetables!

History and Trivia

The names of three locations in the Tribal Isles are roughly the tribes' colours backwards. Nerg Plains takes its name after the colour 'green', and the Nerg tribe mice wear green clothes.
