Hunters have several Trap Setup Options for the Calm Clearing. Hunters in the Calm Clearing are advised to use a trap comparable to or greater than the Swiss Army Mouse Trap to hunt successfully. Using a lesser trap could result in a net loss due to the thieving mice. Hunters trying to catch the rare tactical mice in this area should use a tactical trap for bonus against the mice, although powerful physical weapons will also work without a penalty.
+
Mice in the Calm Clearing are predominantly weak to Tactical weapons. Hydro, Physical, Arcane, Law, and Shadow weapons can also be used, though they may perform less well.

Cheese Usage
+
Standard Cheese will attract most mice in the Calm Clearing, while SB is required to attract the Black Widow Mouse and Foxy Mouse..
All standard cheese types can be used in this location. Hunters who wish to maximize their profits should use either Marble or Swiss. Alternatively, hunters can use Cheddar and use a Base that has a high attraction bonus such as the Wooden Base with Target. Hunters who wish to achieve Master rank quickly should use Brie or SUPER|brie+ cheese, which have better attraction rates. A hunter can also use Dehydration base to keep their bait fresh, so as to save costs on buying new bait each time the current bait stales.
+

 +
Hunters must collect Cherry Potions to be able to create Cherry Cheese. Cherry Cheese is the only cheese able to attract the Cherry Mouse.
