This small island was once attached to the mainland before a mighty storm washed away a massive piece of land. Members of the three tribes were then trapped where they were forced to work together to build a means of travel back to the mainland. Cape Clawed now acts as a meeting place where the elders of the tribes discuss diplomatic matters.

Description and Requirements

The Cape Clawed is a location in the Tribal Isles region requiring a minimum rank of Legendary and crafted Ocean Navigation Kit to enter.

Hunting Strategy

The mice in this area are rather weak. Use your strongest trap, no matter what type of trap you use, you will still have a good chance to catch most of the mice here, for instance, using Digby Drillbot trap (physical trap) will catch not only physical mice but also the hydro and tactical mice. Don't waste your precious Gouda cheese here, since using Brie cheese is enough to bring you a good result (even using Swiss cheese would result in some success).

You may want to stay here for awhile to collect enough ingredients to craft special cheese to attract and catch the elder mice here. It's not recommended to travel to other areas in the island to collect the ingredients if you don't have a very strong trap (using trap with power equal or less than 3000 is useless and you may end up in disappoiment). Catch the elder mice and they may drop items that is necessary to build a stronger trap. Build the traps once you have enough points and gold (the strongest trap for each type, with power exceeding 3000, need not only large amount of gold but also large amount of points, for instance, you need 16,000,000 points to craft the Rhinobot that is necessary to hunt in Derr Dunes, check out the Traps section in this Wiki for further information), and then you can travel to other areas in the island to collect blueprint and items to build the strongest arcane trap. Don't ever think it would be an easy job, you have to visit each area to collect different seeds and piece of print. You will need the seeds to craft the Havarty cheese to catch the mice in Jungle of Dread that will give you items to craft the Ancient Box trap. Once you have successfuly build that trap (the Ancient Box trap), go back to acolyte realm to catch the acolyte mouse (Yes!! all the hard effort in this island is only to catch that one mouse, ridiculous eh?).

Cheese Usage

Gouda attracts the majority of mice in this location. Swiss, Brie or SUPER|brie+ work as well.

However, Crunchy is necessary to attract Aged. Shell is necessary to attract Elder. Gumbo is necessary to attract Grandfather.

Hunting tips by Larry

Congratulations on crossing the Rodentia Ocean, MouseHunter!

The Tribal Isles region is home to three tribes which have a long history of conflict. The eldest mice of each tribe now meet here in an effort to restore peace to the region.

Despite its small size, Cape Clawed has recently become quite a bustling island since its discovery by MouseHunters. A Trapsmith, Cheese Shoppe and General Store have all opened in Cape Clawed, each offering some supplies and hunting gear unique to this region. There is much for sale so pay close attention my friend!

The Trapsmith here carries quite a few shadow weapons, along with a base that is well suited for high power traps.

Visit the Cheese Shoppe and I am sure Gouda will catch your attention. It's sharp flavour has long been a favourite of the mice indigenous to the Tribal Isles, only surpassed by SUPER|brie+. If your stocks of SUPER|brie+ are dwindling be sure to stock up on Gouda before further exploring the Tribal Isles.

Cape Clawed also has a General Store. In addition to standard cheese-making supplies like Salt, Curds and Whey, the General Store here also carries Coconut Milk, which has been found to be a vital ingredient in some local flavours of cheese. I hope you came with a good stash of gold because the General Store here also carries some mighty expensive sets of blueprint! The prints all seem to need some strange items, and one of the prints is only a tattered piece! I'm sure a hunter as skilled as yourself will be able to make heads or tails of the prints.

Phew, that was quite a lot of information if Larry does say so himself... and I do! But wait my hunter colleague, I have not even talked of what hunting there is to be done here in Cape Clawed.

The majority of mice here are rather weak and come with little reward for their capture. Cape Clawed is however a meeting spot for the tribes' eldest mice. These elder mice are not interested in just any old cheese, and no I'm not talking about Ancient cheese! Each of the elder mice here are attracted to a very specific cheese made from ingredients closely guarded by members of their respective tribe. If you wish to hunt the elder mice you will have to travel to their respective villages to the East and confront their tribe mates in hopes of finding the elusive secret ingredient for each of their preferred types of cheese. Some of the mice here in Cape Clawed also carry these ingredients but I am certain you shall have much more success if you travel to the East.

Well, I suppose that is all the tips I have for you, MouseHunter. There is much to do here in the Tribal Isles so take your time, plan out your moves and try to ignore the menacing roar coming from that volcano!
