History and Trivia

  • 5 July 2022: The Legendary Looking Glass was introduced in the Cartographer in Floating Islands as part of the Folklore Forest pre-release period.
  • 5 - 26 July 2022: During the pre-release period, several tasks could be performed to give the Hunter a head start on the region. The tasks had to be done in order.
I found the mouse that had been snooping around the Empyrean Sky Palace and was greatly rewarded for my efforts! This strange looking page that it dropped might contain a clue as to what this mouse was up to. Many of the notes around the margins appear to have been scribbled hastily and are therefore difficult to make out but there is one that is just barely legible, it reads:
"I must find a way to lure out a guide from that suffocating subterranean underpass..."
There was something unique about that Silth mouse! It emerged from a subterranean underpass and was covered in the same spores that make up the charm that I was using so it must have been drawn to that.
The entrance to the underpass is too narrow and too deep in the water for me to be able to explore but it looks like it opens up into a much longer underground tunnel! For a brief moment, I saw another Silth mouse down in the tunnel but it quickly descended deeper and out of sight. There must be another entrance somewhere else in Gnawnia that isn't flooded.
  • Related loot: 10 Papyrus Seed
  • Doing so generates a journal entry:
Catching that Silth Mouse revealed a hidden tunnel that it must have been using to travel back and forth between the Lagoon!
I peered through the rubble and it looks like this tunnel extends a long way North of here and then branches off to the Lagoon in one direction and somewhere else in another direction. This must be the secret path to the mysterious Folklore Forest!
I wanted to explore this exciting new region but the tunnel didn't look safe enough for anything larger than a mouse to traverse. I informed the King of this amazing discovery and he immediately dispatched an excavation crew to secure the tunnel and make it safe for the hunters of Gnawnia to explore.
By his estimates, the excavation should be complete on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 3:00pm UTC!
