Gifting was first introduced during the Halloween Trick AND Treat event in 2010. This function allows Hunters to send their friends gifts for free, unlike the gifts from the Festive Gift Shoppe, where they had to buy gifts to send. There are 10 items to choose from. One is a "Gift of the Day" which changes every day. The other nine gifts are standard, some of them collectibles and others crafting items. It can be accessed by clicking of the GIFT icon at the top of the page, or by going to this link. A Hunter must be of a minimum rank of Recruit to send gifts.

Limits
There is currently a limit on the number of gifts you are able to receive (claim) and send each day. The limit is dependent on rank. The number you are able to send is equal to the number you are able to claim.
The numbers are as follows:
- Recruit: 1
- Apprentice: 2
- Initiate: 3
- Journeyman: 4
- Master: 5
- Grandmaster: 6
- Legendary: 7
- Hero: 8
- Knight: 9
- Lord/Lady: 10
- Baron/Baroness: 11
- Count/Countess: 12
- Duke/Duchess: 13

The following items are no longer available for gifting:
History
Gifting was first introduced on 20 October, 2010, but was soon removed on the same day due to server issues. On 21 October, 2010, Gifting was brought back. Originally, the number of gifts available to send was dependent on the Hunter's rank, and the limit on claiming gifts was 3 per day. The current limits were introduced on 22 October, 2010. The original limits on gifting per day were:
- Novice: 1
- Recruit: 2
- Apprentice: 3
- Initiate: 4
- Journeyman: 5
- Master: 6
- Grandmaster: 7
- Legendary: 8
- Hero: 9
- Knight: 10
- Lord/Lady: 11
- Baron/Baroness: 12
- Count/Countess: 13
- Duke/Duchess: 14
