Haunted Terrortories (2010-2013)

What evils lurk in the depths of the corn maze? Was that a mouse running through the pumpkin patch, or something more sinister? Dare you enter... the Haunted Mansion? There's only one way to find out what lurks in the Haunted Terrortories: gather up a good stock of 'Trick' and 'Treat' cheese by visiting your friends' profile pages, and get hunting! You'll need to trap mice with both kinds of cheese to reach the final challenge.

Description and Requirements

The Haunted Terrortories is a special location available exclusively during the 2010 Halloween Trick AND Treat event and the 2011 Halloween at the Haunted Terrortories, requiring a minimum rank of Recruit to enter. Mice are unable to steal gold or points, but may steal multiple pieces of cheese if not captured in the Haunted Terrortories.

Catch statistics from the Haunted Terrortories are grouped with those from the Festive Comet and Heart of the Tiger Party.

Hunters that remained in the Haunted Terrortories at the end of the Trick AND Treat event were silently relocated to the Empty Event Lot at the same location on the Travel map, but with a much smaller selection of mice.

The final mouse in the 2010 event was Gourdborg, while during the 2011 event it was Mousevina von Vermin.

Hunting Strategy

Standard cheese such as Brie or SUPER|brie+ may be used to attract the mice that drop Ghoulgonzola and Candy Corn cheese.

To advance to the Haunted Manor, hunters need to treat 10 mice with Candy Corn and trick 10 mice with Ghoulgonzola. Upon filling in the 10 mice with one type of cheese, any extra hunts with it will not carry over.

To advance to the Pumpkin Patch, hunters need to treat another 20 mice and trick another 20 mice.

In the Pumpkin Patch, the Treat Mouse appears if 39 mice have been treated by a hunter and the Trick Mouse appears when 39 mice have been tricked. In 2010, the Gourdborg Mouse appears when a hunter caught both Treat and Trick mice. After catching a Gourdborg, a hunter is taken back to the Corn Field Maze. If the Gourdborg was caught using Ghoulgonzola or Candy Corn, the catch will also be counted as the first trick or treat accordingly in the Corn Field Maze. In 2011, the hunt followed the same plan as in 2010, replacing the Gourdborg Mouse with the Mousevina von Vermin Mouse.

A hunter's progress is not lost when traveling outside of the Haunted Terrortories.

Jeepers! I don't like the look of this place, MouseHunter!

The Haunted Terrortories consist of three unique areas; The Corn Maze, The Haunted Manor and the Pumpkin Patch.

Your bait choice is of unique significance here. By hunting with Ghoulgonzola Cheese, you'll trick each mouse you catch. By hunting with Candy Corn Cheese, you'll treat each mouse you catch. You'll need to both treat and trick mice in your current area to attract mice from the next area.

You'll have to trick and treat your way through all three areas to catch the Trick Mouse, Treat Mouse and an even deadlier mouse that is currently ruling the Terrortories!

If you're low on cheese for trick-or-treating, catching Hollowhead mice might earn you more! They can be caught using almost any type of cheese, although they are most often attracted by SUPER|brie+.
