This many-storied tower is the King’s personal challenge to MouseHunters everywhere: anyone who can reach the top is among the kingdom’s elite. The King’s Gauntlet works on a tier system, with Hunters advancing to the next floor by hunting with cheese that they collect on the current floor. The Gauntlet is meant as a challenge for hunters of all skill levels, but in order to ascend to the very top, a Hero’s rank will come in handy.

Overview
These are the shops that can be found in the King's Gauntlet:
+
The King's Gauntlet is a location in the Valour region requiring a minimum rank of Hero and the King's Gauntlet Floorplan to enter.
*Cheese Shoppe
+
The King's Gauntlet Floorplan can be purchased from the Bazaar Cartographer in exchange for 1 Crown Jewel and 50,000 gold.
*Trapsmith
+
Mice in the King's Gauntlet can steal points or gold if not captured.
+
The King's Gauntlet consists of eight tiers. At each tier, Hunters collect potions that imbue cheese capable of attracting mice on the next tier. Hunters must equip the cheese appropriate to the tier they wish to hunt on.
+

+
Mice
+
All mice in the King's Gauntlet are part of the Gauntlet Gladiators group.
+
The Power Types listed below for each tier of mice are considered the most effective for capturing the mice found on that tier.
+
The cheese preference for each King's Gauntlet mouse is dependent on the tier it inhabits.
+
Mice on each tier drop potions used to create the cheese necessary for attracting the mice on the next tier.
+

+
Tier 1 - Puppet Mice
+
Mice found on Tier 1 are primarily weak to Physical and Tactical weapons.
+
Standard Cheese and SB will attract all Tier 1 mice.
+
All Tier 1 mice are known to drop Gauntlet Potion Tier 2 as loot.

Mice with Special Requirements
+
*Relic Hunter Mouse – This mouse visits the King's Gauntlet on an irregular basis. It does not consume cheese or charms. Hunters must have an Ancient Relic in their inventory to attract this mouse. The Ancient Relic will be taken by the Relic Hunter Mouse in exchange for a Relic Hunter Scroll Case.
+
*M400 – This mouse will sometimes be available in the King's Gauntlet when Hunters are actively working an M400 Hunting Research Assignment. It is attracted only to Fusion Fondue which will not attract any other mice. It drops a wide variety of loot.

Hunting Strategy
Hunting Strategy
Mice in this location are Gauntlet Gladiators with unique weaknesses. While their exact weaknesses are not known, mice of Tier 1 can be caught with any normal cheese, and are essentially never missed by even moderately powerful physical traps. Mice of Tier 2 are weak against physical traps; their vulnerability to other power types is unknown but it is reasonable to conclude that they resist most or all.
+
In the King's Gauntlet, the main objective is to reach Tier 8 and catch the Eclipse Mouse.

Cheese Usage
+
Mice on each tier drop potions to create the cheese needed to hunt mice on the next tier.

All standard cheese types can be used in this location. It is recommended that Hunters start out with either Marble or Swiss, and stay away from Brie as using this cheese will very likely result in a net gold loss.

:Hunters should arm a Forgotten weapon with Gauntlet Cheese Tier 8. The Eclipse Mouse is the only mouse found on this tier.

Hunters have flocked in from all over the land to face the terrors, the wonders, and the challenges of the King’s Gauntlet. If you can make it to the top of this tall, tall tower, you will gain lots of loot, and you will be able to count yourself among the land’s elite.

Every Hunter starts on floor one, using any bait they wish. From then on, Hunters progress to the next floor by using potions collected on the previous floor to make special cheeses. There is no need to travel-- just equip the right cheese to move to the next floor!

On each floor, the mice are weak to a different power type. If you get confused, the cheese descriptions may lend a hand. The further you go up the Gauntlet, the more difficult, and profitable, the mice become. Can you make it all the way to the top, and defeat the mysterious Eclipse Mouse?

This many-storied tower is the King’s personal challenge to MouseHunters everywhere: anyone who can reach the top is among the kingdom’s elite. The King’s Gauntlet works on a tier system, with Hunters advancing to the next floor by hunting with cheese that they collect on the current floor. The Gauntlet is meant as a challenge for hunters of all skill levels, but in order to ascend to the very top, a Hero’s rank will come in handy.

Overview

The King's Gauntlet is a location in the Valour region requiring a minimum rank of Hero and the King's Gauntlet Floorplan to enter.
The King's Gauntlet Floorplan can be purchased from the Bazaar Cartographer in exchange for 1 Crown Jewel and 50,000 gold.
Mice in the King's Gauntlet can steal points or gold if not captured.
The King's Gauntlet consists of eight tiers. At each tier, Hunters collect potions that imbue cheese capable of attracting mice on the next tier. Hunters must equip the cheese appropriate to the tier they wish to hunt on.

Mice

All mice in the King's Gauntlet are part of the Gauntlet Gladiators group.
The Power Types listed below for each tier of mice are considered the most effective for capturing the mice found on that tier.
The cheese preference for each King's Gauntlet mouse is dependent on the tier it inhabits.
Mice on each tier drop potions used to create the cheese necessary for attracting the mice on the next tier.

Tier 1 - Puppet Mice

Mice found on Tier 1 are primarily weak to Physical and Tactical weapons.
Standard Cheese and SUPER|brie+ will attract all Tier 1 mice.
All Tier 1 mice are known to drop Gauntlet Potion Tier 2 as loot.

Hunting tips by Larry

Why hello, MouseHunter! It looks like we’ll be ascending the King’s Gauntlet together!

There is no need to travel-- just equip the right cheese to attract mice from the next floor!

On each floor, the mice are weak to a different power type. If you get confused, the cheese descriptions may lend a hand. The further you go up the Gauntlet, the more difficult, and profitable, the mice become. Can you make it all the way to the top, and defeat the mysterious Eclipse Mouse?

Good luck, MouseHunter, and don’t get tired on the stairs!
