'''Catch all the Costumed Mice'''

'''Last chance to buy soon-to-be vintaged crafting materials!'''
Use your Dumpling Cheese to attract a whole slew of Lunar New Year mice, including the infamous costumed mice.

These elusive critters will need to be caught in a specific order so once you catch the Costumed Tiger Mouse then you'll be able to attract the Costumed Rabbit Mouse and so on. The final mouse will be the new Costumed Ox Mouse and upon catching this elderly fellow, you'll be rewarded with his Ox Lunar Lantern.

'''Light the Lantern and Gain Rewards'''

Tomorrow, on May 17, store-bought blueprints will be refunded, and General Stores will no longer stock these vintage crafting materials.
While hunting with Dumpling Cheese, you'll have undoubtedly picked up quite a few Lunar Lantern Candles by this point. And if you were hunting with the premium Nian Gao'da cheese then you've also likely found some Red Lunar Lantern Candles. Well, now it's time to use them! Once you own the Ox Lunar Lantern, you can begin lighting these candles and reaping their rewards!

When your lantern is lit with Lunar Lantern Candles, you will find '''DOUBLE''' loot from mice anywhere in the Kingdom! And if you're lighting Red Lunar Lantern Candles then you'll find '''TRIPLE''' loot!

But that's not all that these wonderful candles have to offer! While your lantern is lit, it will begin rising up into the air in search of other lucrative rewards. Each hunt you take with the regular candles burning will raise your lantern by one foot and each hunt with the red candles burning will raise your lantern by two feet!

Every ten feet that your lantern ascends, you'll receive a '''+1''' Luck bonus to your trap that will apply whenever the candles are burning. The bonus is cumulative so the higher you go, the more luck you'll get!

With the recent Shops Infrastructure Overhaul, Trapsmiths have become adept at constructing traps which once needed to be hand-crafted by MouseHunters!

Every thirty feet that your lantern ascends, you'll receive an extra reward in addition to the +1 Luck and the rewards keep getting better the higher you ascend! Be sure to check out the Heads-Up Display to get a glimpse of all the valuable items that await you along the reward track!
+
As a result of this mass production of traps, the associated blueprints will soon vanish from hunters' inventories as the knowledge is passed on to Trapsmiths. Hunters looking to acquire one of these previously-crafted traps moving forward should seek out the appropriate Trapsmith to construct it.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner so from '''February 11 to 16''' you'll occasionally come across some especially amorous mice while hunting. Every so often, after catching one mouse, you'll notice that it wasn't alone! Special Valentine's mice will occasionally appear as bonus hunts after a successful catch! They won't consume any cheese or charms and won't affect area gameplay progression in any way but they will drop some unique Valentine's loot so keep an eye out for these romantic rodents.
