Blueprints Discovered as Comet Melts!

As the Festive Comet slowly melts, the mice there have come across some new, interesting items! According to the reports pouring in from researchers stationed on the comet, the mice have unearthed blueprints detailing how to construct hunting gear out of planks of gingerbread.
Various mice at the Festive Comet have been spotted using the scraps of blueprint as nesting material. The prints are somewhat rare at the moment, but researchers are confident that as more of the comet melts, more blueprints will be discovered.

The Great Winter Hunt '09

Welcome all to the first, annual, Great Winter Hunt!
"The Festive Comet" earlier discovered by those kooky Digby scientists has landed and we are all still here and hunting!
The collision with Gnawnia has caused massive amounts of global "heart" warming as a sudden wave of festive cheer has attracted a variety of old and new mice to the area!
Event Details:
New area is now available! From the travel page in the Gnawnia region you can now reach "The festive comet"! (open to all hunter ranks). All of the seasonal mice have come out of hibernation now that the comet has struck. They will stay with the comet until it melts before returning back to hibernation until the next time.
These festive mice love to collect the various items brought to gnawnia by the comet. They are used to make their special gingerbread homes as well as tasty treats that these mice find completely irresistible!
The Digby scientists have also sent various recovery teams to the site, gathering and researching all of the newly discovered wonders. They are making these items available for you to send to friends and have come up with a pretty ingenious recipe already with more on the way!
Quote from Timmy, lead Digby Reasearcher, "These new planks of gingerbread are quite astonishing! Incredibly strong and resilient! Also quite tasty, flavorful and rich in aroma! Smashing these planks into smaller, more manageable pieces creates the perfect treat for the holidays!"
The scientists also believe, given enough time, that they should be able to use this new "gingerbread", as well as including some of the other festive items, to capture the essence of the holiday and create some most interesting trap components!
Some of the regular inhabitants of Gnawnia have been seen adorning themselves with the debris from the comet, almost instinctually, unable to resist their sparkle and shine. Proudly parading themselves for all to see, can you catch them all?

Hollowheads Haunt the Kingdom

Terror filled screeches have been heard from areas all around the Kingdom... these reports of spooky activity can only mean one thing -- Hollowheads are running rampant!
The King's researchers have noticed the Hollowheads concentrating their haunting efforts on one specific area in almost every region. Spread out and see if you can find where they are hiding.
Hollowhead mice tend to hoard any SUPER|brie+ cheese that they manage to steal. With a little luck you may catch one that was holding on to a piece or two.
Stay alert MouseHunters! Hollowhead mice love to trick traps and make off with your cheesy treats!

Ronza's Rockin' Return

Hello MouseHunters!
After a long flight, Ronza has finally landed in Gnawnia just south of the Castle! Onboard her ship is a Trapsmith, General Store, and Cheese Shoppe. All the excitement has lead to absolutely record breaking amounts of travel and hunting in the Kingdom! All the excitement lead to some traffic jams that may have interrupted your hunting. Once the majority of hunters have visited Ronza and made their purchases, the King expects the traffic jams to ease up and the hunt to return to a much more stable state.
Trapsmith:
Ronza's Trapsmith has three weapons and one base for sale. For most hunters, there should be at least one item of interest in stock. The costs range from 158,500 gold to 860,000 gold and point requirements range from 9,100 to 843,500.
Novices, Apprentices, Journeymen and Masters seeking a high-luck physical trap will no doubt be interested in the HitGrab Rockin' Horse. If you're ready to rock (and roll) while you hunt for mice, this Horse will be a good companion to bring luck your way.
Masters and Grandmasters looking for a high-luck tactical trap to aid their hunting efforts in Furoma or the Gnarled Tree will be interested an extremely loud new trap. After each horn call, the Giant Speaker trap is sure to leave your ears ringing!
Legendary, Hero and above MouseHunters looking for a lucky hydro trap to use in Rodentia or the shores of Elub will want to consider the Kraken Chaos trap. See if eight arms and two tentacles can aid your hunting!
While passing over Dracano, Ronza noticed the molten rock found at the base of the mighty Volcano. Risking life and limb, she dodged Dragon mice to create the Magma Base! Its high temperature gives it an impressive 10 luck, but beware its Insanely Stale cheese effect when using expensive bait. Any failures to attract will most certainly result in your cheese melting into a stale mess.
General Store:
Ronza frequently uses her HitGrab Horsey trap to keep the mouse population on board her ship under control. With all the rock n' roll gear she’s carrying, she wanted a way to crank the star power of her horsey up to eleven. Now her horsey steals the show with a giant rainbow mohawk! If you are an owner of an original HitGrab Horsey trap, than for the low-low cost of 60,000 gold you can purchase the Rainbow Mohawk Wig of Awesomeness! This wig is sure to give new life to your old hobby horse and get it ready for the hunting spotlight. Some assembly required.
Cheese Shoppe:
Not to be outdone by mohawks and giant speakers, the forger of fromage onboard Ronza's Ship created Rockforth cheese, a flavor oozing rock n' roll attitude. A few stray mice nibbled the Rockforth and were instantly transformed into Rockstar mice!
The Rockstars kept Ronza's crew up late with loud concerts and partying. The crew became so tired that at first, they did not notice the Rockstars rushing off the ship the moment it landed, to start their epic rock tour. See if you can collect some Rockforth by hunting onboard Ronza's ship. Once you have some, it’s time to party with the Rockstars! The sound of guitars and singing has been heard in more than one area, including the Town of Gnawnia, Town of Digby and even the S.S. Huntington II!
Ronza was particularly annoyed that the Rockstars stole some supply satchels that she had planned to sell to MouseHunters. The Satchels come in three colours: Red, Blue and Green and their contents range widely. If you catch a Rockstar, Ronza encourages you to open your satchels for a small bonus reward, a few extra pieces of cheese as thanks for taming the destructive Rockstars.
The King's Order of Supplies:
MouseHunters are not the only ones making purchases from Ronza. The King ordered a rather large amount of building supplies. These supplies are quite heavy and cumbersome and will be sure to take at least two weeks to unload. Ronza plans to keep her shops open the entire time, giving everyone at least two weeks to hunt onboard her ship and purchase her wares. From her personal experience, Ronza knows Rockstars are harder to hunt down than most mice and fears that the Kingdom will still be hunting Rockstars for a short time after her departure.
*Phew* Ronza brought quite the party with her this time! So browse her wares, see if anything interests you then get out there and rock out with your entire hunting party!

Ronza Drops Flyers!

Ronza is now flying over the Harbour en route to the landing area to the west. Upon making landfall she began to drop advertising flyers into the wind! The flyers give a little insight into what wares she will have for sale and for how long she plans to keep her shop open.
Ronza is scheduled to land tomorrow (Tuesday, Oct 20) and her shops will be open once she has landed!
Familiar Airship Enroute to Gnawnia

As many hunters have already noticed, a familiar airship has been spotted flying in from the North East. Aboard the infamous ship is none-other than Ronza the traveling merchant!
Ronza is flying into the wind and carrying lots of supplies making her flight slow but steady. She hopes to make landfall sometime next week.
You can track Ronza's progress towards Gnawnia yourself by clicking the full map link located on the Travel Page. Her final destination is the empty spot just south of the Gnawnia Castle.
To view the latest map image you may need to do a "full refresh" in your browser. This is done in most browsers by holding shift or control while clicking the refresh button.

Mysterious Box Changes

From very early on we have always welcomed the constructive feedback and suggestions of players. It's the input of players that helps make sure things are both fun and challenging for everyone.
Based on constructive suggestions, we have changed how hunters may obtain a Frozen Scroll. Going forward, every Acolyte mouse will drop a Frozen Scroll along with the Mysterious Box. The contents of the box have been slightly changed, also based on the feedback of players.
For those who have already opened their boxes, the King will be awarding them with either a Mysterious Box or a Frozen Scroll. If you have never had a Frozen Scroll you will receive one and if you have had a Frozen Scroll in the past then you shall receive a Mysterious Box. This way each hunter involved receives one free item.
We appreciate that many players liked things how they were, but we feel this is a change that is welcomed by the majority of players. Some players have asked the question: "Who are the developers? You, or the players?" The answer is both. We see the community as a member of the development team and have always reached out and welcomed the suggestions and ideas of players.
If you are hunting an Acolyte or Dragon mouse, then you no doubt have enjoyed the previous game content that lead you to these new goals. This content you enjoyed to get where you are was made in the same way, using the feedback of the players to adjust existing content and features.
A big thanks to everyone who shared their constructive suggestions! The players are what make MouseHunt great!
Along with a Frozen Scroll or Mysterious Box, players may notice another smaller, more cuddly item in their inventory. We were able to get an early supply of this item, but if you didn't get one, don't stress... We're sure a larger shipment will arrive by air sometime soon.
Dracano Feedback

Hello MouseHunters!
You may have noticed the footnote at the bottom of the previous news update regarding Dracano asking for your input and suggestions. I wanted to make a post to help focus the feedback and organize the thoughts of everyone.
There is definitely some frustration in having to possibly catch multiple Acolyte mice to tackle Dracano. We're looking for your opinion on how you think it would be best to obtain a Frozen Scroll.
Here are a couple of popular suggestions that are feasible, let us know what you think.
Remove the Frozen Scroll from the Mysterious Box and have the Acolyte drop both a Frozen Scroll and a Mysterious Box. Hand out Frozen Scrolls to anyone who had previously caught an Acolyte and did not get a Frozen Scroll.
Make available another, slightly less powerful Draconic trap that can be obtained in a more straight-forward manner.
These changes may also require some adjustment to the quantities of items in the Mysterious Box as well as the difficulty of catching the Dragon.
New gameplay elements are currently developed and decided upon by surveying groups of players and then putting those changes into play testing with a group of beta testers. In the coming weeks we are going to be increasing this survey pool to include a broader range of active, passive, experienced and less experienced players in hopes of obtaining a wider range of feedback. The end goal is to include as many players as we can in an organized way.
MouseHunt has always relied on the feedback of players to fine-tune game aspects and develop ideas for new content. We're looking for your constructive suggestions on how to keep MouseHunt both challenging and fun!

Dracano has Opened!

The flow of magma from Dracano has finally calmed to a level safe enough for hunters to setup traps.
The mouse that inhabits Dracano is a testament to how old the Tribal Isles are. Long ago the Acolyte mice attempted to control the Dragon mice of Dracano using a powerful spell written upon a frozen scroll.
With the Acolyte mice now locked away in their Realm and the disappearance of Plankrun, it is up to the King's most experienced hunters to prevent the Dragon mice from making Gnawnia their new roost!
As with every release, we welcome feedback and constructive criticism. Your feedback can result in new content being changed slightly so please do express your opinions and suggestions. If you're the type that's a bit fearful of change, you may want to wait and see what others think before starting down this story line.
New Boku Page and Feedback Changes

Hello MouseHunters!
We have made the $1 and $7.50 donation packages available via Boku in addition to implementing a more streamlined checkout page. If you're interested in using your mobile phone to get SUPER|brie+ check out the Boku tab on the donate page.
We have also made a few minor changes based on player feedback.
The strength of a few mice in Tribal Isles has been adjusted. Gladiator, Guardian and all three Chieftain mice have all had their power lowered slightly. The encounter rate for Elder, Grandfather and Aged has been increased slightly when using their appropriate bait in Cape Clawed.
In the interest of making the Ancient Box Trap accessible to most hunters with the title of Knight, the points requirement has been lowered to 17,000,000.
Nibbler mice have crossed the Rodentia ocean and have been seeing reporting in the Tribal Isles region.
Finally, a few typos, spelling and grammar errors have been corrected in various crafting ingredients and mouse descriptions.
We always welcome player ideas and suggestions, so be sure to make your voice heard on the Ideas and Suggestions discussion board located toward the bottom-left of the forums page. By discussing ideas on the forums, we can quickly see which ones the community is enjoying. Remember to post in the correct discussion board section and focus on making constructive suggestions.
