Points are increase by the mice you catch. The heavier the mouse the less points you get.  Since a smaller mouse is faster, that is why you get less points for heavier mice.

The number of points a hunter has places him into a certain category, such as Novice, Apprentice, Journeyman, Master, Grandmaster, Legendary or Hero.
