Overview
Prickly Plains is a location in the Queso Canyon region requiring a minimum rank of Count/Countess to enter. It also requires the purchase of the Queso Dowsing Rod from the Fort Rox Cartographer.
Hunters loot Spice Leaves to craft better varieties of Queso.
Collecting Spice Leaves
All mice drop a variety of Spice leaves which are used to craft better tiers of Queso. See mice loot table for more info.

The HUD shows your current pump level on the top left corner together with the amount of Nachore Owned. Clicking on it, hunters can see the upgrade cost and yield for each level of the pump. On the right, there is a button to click to upgrade your pump.
The Higher your pump's level, the more Bland Queso is obtained when hunting in Queso River.

On the centre top of the HUD, beside the area's name -Prickly Plains- there is a travel icon. When clicked, a popup appears showing Queso River, Prickly Plains,Cantera Quarry and Queso Geyser. From here, hunters can freely travel to any of the 4 locations listed.
The HUD tracks the Following Items:
- Hunter's inventory of Standard Cheese- SUPER|brie+, Gouda, Brie and Swiss. Hunters need to click on the arrow button to see all cheeses.
- Hunter's inventory of Bland Queso
- Hunter's inventory of Mild Queso and Mild Spice Leaf

- Hunter's inventory of Hot Queso and Hot Spice Leaf

Hunters can arm and craft the various cheeses by hovering over the corresponding HUD components and picking which recipe they prefer to craft.

Be careful here, hunters! These plains can be quite a pain!
Here you will find a vast, open region of cacti growing an assortment of flavourful spices. The mice here have evolved to safely pick the spices from the dangerous plants in order to blend them with queso. They find this combination appealing as the Bland Queso absorbs the flavour of the spices so well.
Combining various spices with Bland Queso will create a more desirable, spicier cheese that will attract the stronger mice within Queso Canyon.
Start with Bland Queso to attract the base level of Spice Mice and collect the Mild Spice Leaves that they drop. Combine these spicy leaves with Bland Queso to increase its spice level and you'll be greeted with even spicier Spice Mice!
