Sandtail Desert is a region released on 22 March 2011 and consists of outlying areas to the west of the Whisker Woods. There are eight known locations, although only 6 are shown at a time depending on whether the Living Garden is in normal or twisted reality:

The Marching Flame has attacked and pillaged much of the Sandtail Desert and now their warpath is headed towards Gnawnia! Their battalions attack in waves and seem to endlessly march over the horizon. All that stands between them and conquering Gnawnia are the brave hunters who camp here.
A Sandtail Call to Arms, obtained from the Seasonal Garden after catching a Silth, Mystic King, and Technic King, is required to travel to the first area in the region.
This fortified market has been ravaged by the relentless attacks of the Marching Flame. Local merchants are eagerly seeking the help of hunters to find construction materials and help rebuild their shops.
One Warpath Victory is required to enter this location.

The following 6 locations were released on 14 November 2012, and a Living Garden Key is required to enter them.

The mice that live in this garden use the environment to their advantage, fashioning crude armour and weapons from plantlife in order to protect and hoard all the Garden Essences they can find.
This city suffered a terrible curse and was lost between dimensions! The mice residing here are ghostly apparitions as well, trapped between dimensions in an incorporeal state.
Food in the desert is so scare that there is fierce competition between mice over it. Watch out for the vicious grublings in this area, who hoard food and Garden Essences like no other mouse!
The mice that live in this garden use the environment to their advantage, fashioning crude armour and weapons from plantlife in order to protect and hoard all the Garden Essences they can find.
So this is what happened to the Lost City! It's become deeply cursed, with terrible and powerful mice living within and taking the safety of everyone around them into their own careless hands!
While there's no Grubling Mice in the area, slime trails indicate they've been through here. Perhaps they've been bringing food or something else to the immense and powerful King Grub Mouse that lives in the area?
