I think the points that are currently listed for the Eagle Owl mouse are incorrect. Here is a copy of my hunting log. The name of the hunting companion who sounded the horn, has been removed to thier protect privacy.

4:19pm sounded the Hunter's Horn. I was successful in my hunt! I caught a 1 oz. Eagle Owl mouse from the Calm Clearing worth 5,300 points and 2,251 gold.

Thanks! Verified and changed. -- Camomiletea 00:07, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
They only changed it recently. The old value was previously correct. :O --Mikeyco 09:24, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Bat Mice

I notice it now lists bat mice as catchable under the Whisker Woods: All mice page. It shows catches as "none!", but this may be something that should be added. Right now it seems a bit premature, but I'm still new to this particular wiki so I'll let someone else handle this. :) DaRkAgE7[Talk] 08:11, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Bats might have the same case as Nibblers, wherein they probably won't appear in the Calm Clearing but in another Whisker Woods area. --Mikeyco 09:21, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Mice Rarity

We need to figure out how rare Foxy and Eagle Owl are and possibly mark one or both as rare in the table. I haven't encountered either of them in 200 hunts (Ambush/Dehy/Swiss). The rough guideline for the rarity is if a mouse isn't encountered in 100 hunts... -- Camomiletea 23:28, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

This forum thread convinced me that Foxy and Eagle Owl are rare [1]. -- Camomiletea 05:30, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
Seeing as this is a new area with brand new mice and the only location in the region, it's quite easy to calculate from the number of catches, so you should be right about Foxy and Eagle Owl since they only factor as 0.39% and 0.44% of catches respectively. However the Cyclops is 0.85% of catches, so it could also be considered rare. But it is hard to determine as this doesn't account for the attractions but failed to catch. Statistics are as follows:
Mouse Catches %
Moosker 158,280 10.11
Wiggler 158,801 10.14
Sylvan 229,686 14.66
Dwarf 104,133 6.65
Frog 234,801 14.99
Chameleon 192,871 12.31
Bear 172,307 11.00
Shaman 132,869 8.48
Treant 113,744 7.26
Elven Princess 42,243 2.70
Foxy 6,204 0.40
Eagle Owl 6,961 0.44
Cyclops 13,428 0.86
Total 1,566,328

From the survey I have a record of attractions rather than catches, from what has been submitted so far:
Mouse Catches %
Moosker 114 7.04
Wiggler 128 7.90
Sylvan 188 11.60
Dwarf 76 4.69
Frog 205 12.65
Chameleon 180 11.11
Bear 178 10.99
Shaman 137 8.46
Treant 99 6.11
Elven Princess 42 2.59
Foxy 8 0.49
Eagle Owl 9 0.56
Cyclops 18 1.11
Black Widow 2 0.12
Other (Fail to attract and special event) 236 14.57
Total 1,620

Thanks, that confirms that Cyclops are not rare. I looked at that 0.85% catch rate of Cyclops, but suspected that it's more due to the fact they are tricky to catch... -- Camomiletea 16:32, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Foxy

Should the Foxy Mouse be added back as rare? It still shows in the game's location stats for the area. Lamballs 17:58, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

They probably changed something during longtail. Seeing as there are no attractions in 10271 hunts in horntracker DB, there's a 95% chance that the overall foxy population is less than 0.029%, which is about 10 times rarer than shelder. Personally my opinion is to include it only when we can verify at least one foxy attraction in calm clearing. — YiKai 22:02, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
There is a catch now logged in the HornTracker. -- camomiletea 16:40, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
