:::::There are so many ifs, buts and exceptions to the trap power type / mouse power type relationship now that users cannot gain any value from this information. Instead, they have to use the mouse-by-mouse effectiveness chart, taking into account the exceptions at the end (how unwieldy is that?), or better still, the hunting strategy and the (truly excellent) trap setup option pages. Is showing the power type actually misleading, now? --[[User:Winelight|Winelight]] 09:26, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

::::::Not quite the right place to be discussing something more relevant to all the mice and the effectiveness articles. Dragon mouse power type

When the article was first started it listed the power type as Arcane, then was changed to Draconic. Are we sure about that? -- Camomiletea 22:52, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

I'm changing it back to Arcane. It's listed on the All mice page along with Acolyte under the heading of Arcane. -- Camomiletea
Interesting point. Why do we list the power type? Is it so the user knows what trap to use to catch it? Because if so... --Winelight 06:58, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
That leads on to the question ... why do the Devs list the power type? While it doesn't entirely make sense, I personally think we should show it. WyndStryke 07:13, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Power type is (still) extremely important when it comes to weapon selection. Unfortunately it is no longer as straight-forward as it used to be. I felt that the devs could have fixed it with some retroactive renaming soon after the last major update, but now it's just all over the place. --Hyperchao 08:06, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
There are so many ifs, buts and exceptions to the trap power type / mouse power type relationship now that users cannot gain any value from this information. Instead, they have to use the mouse-by-mouse effectiveness chart, taking into account the exceptions at the end (how unwieldy is that?), or better still, the hunting strategy and the (truly excellent) trap setup option pages. Is showing the power type actually misleading, now? --Winelight 09:26, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Not quite the right place to be discussing something more relevant to all the mice and the effectiveness articles. It would be more useful to continue further discussion in the talk pages for Power Types, Effectiveness, or Mice, especially since there are some interesting points raised. -- Grexx 14:30, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
