:::I didn't see much speculation in the article, and I definitely think that methodology is a useful thing to be included in the article. However I made a few tweaks trying to get rid of some judgment (for example, words like "not ideal" or "annoying" - it's up to the hunters to decide what' ideal for them considering all the info provided; another example, replacing "hours and days" with a more neutral "long period of time"). -- [[User:Camomiletea|Camomiletea]] 16:13, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

:::Okay. That's why I put it on here. I don't like the strategy aspect of it - wikis are supposed to be encyclopedias. If an encyclopedia entry on oranges explained how to peel them, then it would look funny, that's all I'm sayin'. I'm not averse to letting it stay if you guys are willing to clean it up. Do you get stale SB+ when Moon goes stale? I'm just curious because Moon was pirchasable and is now craftable using Magic essence. --Delish 05:44, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Good question. Will try to confirm. Shinnok 06:06, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Now can you believe this? Makes stale super brie!!! Wow! I'm laughing real hard now, for some reason. Shinnok 06:12, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
I know I just had a piece go stale and it's from back when I bought it from Ronza... --Delish 06:37, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Stale Cheese Farming

Just gathering some ideas... Do you think it may be a good addition to the article to provide tips of farming stale cheese (i.e. use your stalest setup, cheapest cheese, hunt where mice aren't attracted to it, like Moz)? -- Camomiletea 15:20, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Sounds like a good idea for an article. You can further discuss about the top few stale setups, all paired with Explosive Base naturally. You can also talk about semi-farming style, such as using Marble + Stale setup in Laboratory to gather RB potions etc. Quite a few possibilities. -- Grexx 15:33, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Another possibility is to stale farm in meadow/digby/mountains in an attempt to catch rare mice that one may want or want more of. While that (and the semi-farming Grexx mentioned) are somewhat inefficient, they can be psychologically easier than catching nothing for hours. -- Pakaran 17:08, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Note that the AR may be better for pure stale farming than the Moz. The Moz has bat, zombie and mutant mice that go for standard cheese (and, especially in the case of the mutants, give poor rewards compared to mice in high-level areas where you could be). -- Pakaran 17:18, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Why is the discussion on stale cheese farming on the page? Aren't we supposed to keep the methodology off the page? I mean, I'm just suggesting. It's not fact, it's theory and method, so I'm suggesting we take it off and I wanted to make sure everybody else felt the same before I just rip it off. --Rvanarsdale 12:23, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

I think that it is useful information for hunters to have, since not everyone will understand the change in logic and strategy from keeping your cheese from going to stale to actively trying to stale it. The information presented is also factual, since there are only a few combinations that will lead to efficient staling, although the writeup could certainly be further improved. -- Grexx
But we have to take speculation and methodology off the page. Do you know of any external sites that discuss this topic? Because it would be perfect to link to that site. That way, we could shorten the article, trim out the non-factual material and preserve the usefulness of the topic. I found a blog not too long ago that discussed methods. Do you know what it was? I'm not sure about external sites, but I don't see why you would want to move the information off the wiki? It is giving directions on how best to get stale cheese, although it needs a little more updating now that Ancient Cheese Curd Potions are now available. Can you point out the speculative part? A quick read through the writeup doesn't turn up any major issues for me. It would be good if you can get Pakaran's reply as he did most of the writeup and you can further discuss the text. -- Grexx 15:21, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
