During the Great Winter Hunt 2011, hunters were encouraged to help Calamity Carl reconstruct toys from parts that had been scattered across the kingdom when the Festive Comet crashed into Carl's factory. A Build Toys link was added to the heads-up display, which showed the parts a hunter had collected as well as the toys the hunter could build.

Each toy rebuilt was worth Ice Coins and Toy Receipts for the hunter. Additionally, on the first time rebuilding a particular toy, a hunter earned a Winter Hunt Gift Box. After collecting at least 500 Festive Toy Receipts, the Build Toys link then allowed a hunter to claim the Master Toy Maker Reward:

Create the rare Nutcracker Nuisance Trap using the Nutcracker Trap Blueprints!
To get the blueprints, become a Master Toy Builder by getting 500 Toy Receipts. You get toy receipts whenever you build a toy, so get crackin'!

At the top of the game, a running total was tracked of all toys reconstructed during the drive, with a goal of 1,000,000 Wooden toys, 750,000 clockwork toys, and 1,500,000 metal toys. A hunter that collected a Toy Stockpile from a mouse added to the toy drive goal, although nothing was altered in the hunter's inventory.

The Toy Drive goal was completed 11 days later, on 18 December 2011. As a reward, the King starts the Gift Opening Ceremony, allowing hunters to open gift under their profile trees and in team stockings. Calamity Carl, Larry and a secret admirer each gave every hunter 25 Ice Coins, 10 SUPER|brie+ and 1 Ronza Voucher respectively.

Toy Parts

The following toy parts could be found in various locations throughout the kingdom, but only when a hunter was using Festive Feta as bait. A hunter's inventory of toy parts could only be seen through the Build Toys link.

The toys in this stockpile are similar to the toys being built by hunters, but something about them seems off. They have strange modifications, suggesting a sinister undertone. Could a mouse be secretly assembling toys? To what end?

Any stockpiles found will be instantly sent to the castle for immediate disassembly, and any toys salvaged will be contributed toward the community toy drive goal.

At the beginning of the event, Toy Metal could also be found in the Jungle of Dread, although this was later removed to match up with the claim in the Build Toys link that metal toys can only be built by hunters with a rank of Knight or above.

Constructed Toys

The following toys could be constructed by hunters from the toy parts collected as loot. The toy builder interface states that hunters with titles Recruit to Grandmaster can build wooden toys, Legendary to Hero can build clockwork toys, while Knight and up can build metal toys. However, do note that hunters with titles above the upper limit could still build the wooden and clockwork toys if they wish to do so, it does not explicitly contradict the interface description.
