It can be obtained from Sunken Treasure Crate and Ancient Dive Crate. It can also be obtained as a result from hunting with an Unstable Charm or Treasure Trawling Charm. Hunters are able to transfer their supplies of the Ultimate Anchor Charm using the Give To Friends option.

- After each hunt, the Ultimate Anchor Charm creates an entry in the Hunter's Journal:
- If the charm is not consumed, the message reads:
- My Ultimate Anchor Charm braves the waves and resurfaces! Whew! It's still good for another use!
- If the charm is consumed, the message reads:
- My Ultimate Anchor Charm shudders against the currents, starts to crack and shatters under the water pressure. Lost to Davey Jones' Locker!
