The Ultimate Charm guarantees that the next mouse encountered will be caught. There is a chance that it will not be consumed after use.

When a hunter arms an Ultimate Charm, a message will appear in the Hunter's Journal describing the fate of that charm. If the hunter is lucky, the message reads:

Your Ultimate Charm rumbles and shudders, but stays intact. Phew! It's still good for another use!

Eventually the charm is consumed, with this message:
