I realise you want this to be right, but i've been very careful in what i've done. How can I let you preview it before it goes up? If I knew how, thats what I would have done.--Amyarlp 14:30, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

:Click the "Show preview" button instead of "Save page" -- you completely messed up the table, so you were NOT "very careful" as stated.  Go look at your old edit if you need to know why I'm less than happy about your edit. == Guide to Mousehunt ==

I've been working on a pretty large walkthrough of the game, which you can get here http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=ahwm9rm5zg9j_39fnmksqf2&hl=en. I spoke with some other people, and they said that you had a certain policy regarding guides on the wiki, but they weren't sure what it was.

Do you want to post this somewhere on the wiki for people to be able to access it?--Kirbix 22:41, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

:Actually someone has already added the link to the guide into the wiki before you did. See here. I have been reading the wiki ever since I started playing, but finally decided a few days ago to start helping when I saw stuff that I thought needed to be done, so a steep learning curve (two days) later I make my first page by myself with the wonderful help of the templates. This is why I love this game, and specifically this wiki, I (the uber newbie wiki editor) see the new GB House trap info and do my best to get a new page up with all the proper info in real time. Being a newb though, and having to run out the door in the middle of my edits because the freezing weather made our pipes explode, I left my page in disarray. I am very thankful, and I am sure others are as well, that you have shown so much dedication to a consistent style and format. I look forward to you correcting my many mistakes in the future. --Niehusa 03:00, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

:We're glad to have you aboard and appreciate your helpful contributions! The great thing about a wiki is that errors -- made both by newbies and seasoned editors -- can easily be corrected and adjustments made. Sorry to hear about your burst pipes! No such disasters here (knock on wood) but it's been very cold (-8°F when I got up this morning) so I can sympathize. There are lots of editors here at least as dedicated as I am, and it's truly a group effort. Again, we're happy to have you as part of the group. Welcome aboard! Hi! I'm not sure if you are aware, but all the mice images that are in your gallery on Photobucket display the warning that the bandwidth is exceeded. Regarding the Mice table under Cheat Sheet, wanted to check with you if this edit converting the columns back into one row was intended? Was just working on splitting it up when I suddenly recalled having done it before and went to check the history and noticed your edit on it. Curious about the rationale behind it, since the original idea was to make it easier to adjust for changes to mice locations. -- Grexx 19:22, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

:Wasn't aware of that. Haven't looked at my PB account in ages.  Amazing that the pics are so popular that they suck all my allotted bandwidth! I'll look into other hosting options this weekend. ::I'm of the opposite opinion and found the seemingly randomly broken-up rows to be confusing and extremely hard to edit. One row just makes good sense to me, but whatever. If having it split up makes it somehow easier for the majority to deal with, so be it.  A note describing exactly how it's split up would be greatly appreciated, however, as I could see no rhyme or reason to it and struggled greatly to make even simple changes. And why not? Instead of being Billy Mays, explain, in a civilised manner, what the manner is. Is it that hard to do? EDIT: If you were so annoyed by it, at least insert a comment in the talk page or in the article itself. Victor.Song 22:53, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

:::Ah ok, they were actually split along regional lines as described under the talk page. It actually cuts down on the counting needed whenever a new location or mouse location is added, so rather than counting from the first column you can start at the exact region. :If I need to explain why you can't just keep trying to sneak in this change, I'm not sure I can explain it to you. I'm not a god here or anywhere else, but I do have nearly 3000 edits on this wiki, as do others who disagree with you (with only two edits in total to the main namespace here, both of which were immediately reverted) and other newbies about this inappropriate change. The reason for the revert is obvious to anyone who's been paying attention, and most certainly to you, so please don't act ignorant and surprised. --<span style="border:2px ridge #aaf;background-color:#fff;padding:1px 8px;font:normal 10px Verdana,sans-serif;margin-left:-8px;"><span style="color:#358;">B.Rossow</span> · <span style="color:#35d;">talk</span></span> 21:10, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

You reverted my move to the new prize mice category for the itunes mice, with reason it isnt an event mice and always available.
 +
So are all the mice in this category (leprechaun, treasurer, snooty, high roller, mobster). They are all always available (not just events) but still have the tag "event". What is the point of having two identical categories but named different? Melky

::So? You have 3000, I have much more on pl.wiki, so? I thought discussion is about arguments not about position in Hal of Fame.
+
:Because during the short time it was available years ago, it wasn't a special event mouse. The wiki is about providing accurate information, not making stuff up and revising history to just to reduce the number of categories.
::And what "others" do you mean that disagree with me? Last time I read the talk page everyone except you and one more person said that the order should be almost any other then alphabetical.

::And pleas stop insulting my and your intelligence for that matter. Yeah I sneaked in RBG order without stating that I'm ordering in RBG... Now what I could say is that you are sneaking in some insults because you are not answering on my talk page but on yours. And if I would now better I wouldn't even notice this. --Nux 22:22, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

:::No matter how many edits you have elsewhere (your edits number just over 2000 in the main namespace on pl.wiki, FWIW; if you want to have a pissing contest, I have about 7500 in the main namespace on en.wiki and more than 11,000 in total -- it's not about some bogus "hall of fame" but simple experience), apparently you still don't understand that when you post a comment on someone's Talk (Discussion) page, that's where the ensuing conversation takes place. (That's where "Watch this page" comes in handy.) I'm not gonna have a back-and-forth with you or anyone else across multiple pages. The bottom line is that you want to come in here and make changes without bothering to familiarize yourself with how things are done on this wiki. And I can assure you, though this is not Wikipedia, a simple show of hands isn't going to be how things are decided here, ESPECIALLY by a newbie with ZERO live main namespace edits. Every established editor who commented on that page agrees that alphabetical order is the way it will be, and it was not just Grexx and myself. I'll leave it to you to find the others as I believe it will do you some good to re-read the conversations and try to take in what has been said. Now, I've said all there is to be said from my perspective on this issue. I'm not interested in arguing as I have much better things to do with my time, like catching virtual mice or staring at my navel, both of which are more interesting than arguing with a disingenuous newbie over elementary reference paradigms. --<span style="border:2px ridge #aaf;background-color:#fff;padding:1px 8px;font:normal 10px Verdana,sans-serif;margin-left:-8px;"><span style="color:#358;">B.Rossow</span> · <span style="color:#35d;">talk</span></span> 22:43, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

Have something to say?

If you have something to say, please click here (or use the [+] tab at the top of the page between "edit" and "history") to add a new section in order to keep the page more organized (unless, of course, you're commenting on a topic already being discussed). Please also remember to sign your post by using the signature button at the top of the editing box (it's the second button from the right, between the red "no" circle and the horizontal line) or by typing --~~~~ at the end of your entry. Thanks!

MythMonger Wiki

Hey!

Thanks for beginning the wiki for MythMonger.

We were planning to setup a wiki for MythMonger on our servers, the same way we setup one for MouseHunt.

We'd love your help, as you've done such an awesome job for us on MouseHunt. It would be silly for us to start again, so please consider sending us the database dump for this wiki!

Please message me on Facebook! =)
