These partially blind little fellows find their way through the earth by feeling around, making them more susceptible to getting caught. The Digby development in the Burroughs aided their efforts to push past the Mountain into the Gnawnia region. Due to the dirt in their nostrils, they have a harder time sniffing out cheese. | |||

The Mole Mouse is a breed of mouse found in the Meadow and Town of Digby. It is a particularly uncommon type of mouse, and many people manage to capture most other kinds of mice before they go back and attempt to catch the mole.
Mole mice are known to drop Marble Cheese uncommonly in all locations. In Digby they can also carry the map to Furoma (extremely rarely) and the back page of Plankrun's Journal.
Hunting strategy
It is typically recommended that a hunter who wishes to find the elusive Mole should use White Cheddar and hunt in the Meadow. Unlike the Town of Digby, this area is overrun with White, Grey and Brown mice and, because they are not attracted by White Cheddar cheese, the theory is that eliminating them as potential trap visitors will dramatically increase a hunter's chance of encountering a Mole mouse or, at the very least, another breed more valuable in terms of points and gold.
One recorded hunter with the title of Master caught a mole mouse containing BOTH the Journal and Furoma map. His account is located here: http://apps.facebook.com/mousehunt/index.php?p=3 Also, here is a screenshot of the legendary catch: http://img16.imageshack.us/my.php?image=moleawesomenessqe1.jpg. He was using the ForceField Trap, Explosion Base and Swiss Cheese at the time of the catch.
