The cheese effect of bases, weapons, and charms determines the rate at which baited cheese goes stale. The cheese effect is calculated by adding the effect of all trap components together. For example, pairing a Stone Base (Fresh Effect, +1), with a Mouse DeathBot (Stale Effect, -1), and no charm (+0), results in a cheese effect of "No Effect" (+0). Pairing a Stone Base with a Mouse Mary O'Nette (Fresh Effect) and Freshness Charm (Very Fresh, +2), results in a cheese effect of "Insanely Fresh" (+4).
