There is a tradition among the mice who participate in the Lunar New Year celebrations. Some mice exchange red envelopes with each other, filled with gold that they have looted from poor, unsuspecting hunters. Red boxes, red envelopes? Coincidence? We think not. | |||

The Red Envelope Mouse is a breed of mouse found in the Year of the Dragon Festival and the Year of the Snake Festival. They are known to drop Dragon Breath Potion, Firecracker Charms, King's Credit, Nitropop Potion, Cruise Bux, Souvenirs and Red Pocket Envelope as loot.

Red Envelope Mice have no specific preference for any kind of cheese.
History and Trivia
- The Red Envelope Mouse was introduced on 12 February 2010 in the Heart of the Tiger Party during the Heart of the Tiger event. They dropped Tiger Heart Chest and Satchels of Gold, worth 222 or 888 gold, as loot.
- The amount of points (888) awarded on catching a Red Envelope mouse, and the amount of gold held in the loot drops (222 and 888), reflects the belief of the numbers eight and two being considered "lucky" in Chinese culture; a sequence of a "lucky" number is considered even more favorable!
- Re-released on 10 February 2011 as part of the Heart of the Rabbit event, they could be found in the Town of Gnawnia and Training Grounds where they were known to drop Red Pocket Envelope as loot.
- Re-released again on 11 February 2013 as part of the Year of the Snake Festival, they were known to drop Firecracker Charms, Cruise Bux, Souvenirs and Red Pocket Envelope as loot.
