Where should Cobweb redirect
I recently cleaned up a lot of links that pointed to Cobweb when they meant the item, not the mouse. I see a trade-off between:
- using Cobweb for the item and Cobweb for abbreviated mice references, such as on Mice
- using Cobweb for the item and Cobweb for abbreviated mice references
- having Cobweb redirect to a Cobweb (disambiguation) page, even though it would only have two entries (our normal policy is no disambiguation page until 3 or more hits), requiring full spelling for both item and mouse
Which usage do we expect more, so that we don't repeat our wrong link mistakes? If a user searches for Cobweb, are they more likely to be searching for the item or the mouse? Also, remember that we have precedence of Gold being different than Gold Mouse, and having to use Gold for the abbreviated name. -- ericb talkcontr 22:25, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
