The Hapless Marionette is a breed of mouse found in the King's Gauntlet: Tier 1, as a member of the Puppet Tier. It is known to drop the Gauntlet Potion Tier 2 as loot.

| Slow and stiff in the joints, these inherited puppets spend most of their days doing menial chores for their Master. Hapless Marionettes live painful lives, avoiding the company of other puppets due to their rough construction and the random carvings of passing hunters. If one comes near, beware its broom-- that’s the one thing it knows how to wield accurately. | |||

The Hapless Marionette has no specific preference for any kind of cheese.
Hunting Strategy
Physical and Tactical traps are of normal effectiveness against the Hapless Marionette. Most other power types, including Parental, are less effective. Law and Rift traps are ineffective.
History and Trivia
- 8 June 2010: The Hapless Marionette was released with the introduction of the King's Gauntlet as part of the MouseHunt v3.0 update.
- The Hapless Marionette is a puppet based on the Hapless Mouse.
- The thumbnail image of the Hapless Marionette focuses on the carving in the shape of a heart with the initials "L + R", which possibly refers to Larry and Ronza.
