| Nestled within the remnants of the Fort Rox meteor slumbers an incredible source of power. This tiny mouse courses with energy, presumed to be what radiates throughout the Fort Rox mice, causing all of the unique transformations.

Preferred Cheese
The Heart of the Meteor is only attracted to Sunrise Cheese.
Hunting Strategy
To attract the Heart of the Meteor, the Hunter has to arm Sunrise Cheese in Heart of the Meteor phase in Fort Rox. A Fort Rox Portal Projector is required to enter this phase. Doing so will consume the Projector and add a Ruined Portal Projector to the Hunter's inventory.
The Heart of the Meteor is primarily weak to Arcane traps, though Shadow traps can be used to lesser effect.
The Hunter's Fort defenses have no effect in this phase. Tower Mana cannot be armed while hunting in this phase.
The Heart of the Meteor's power will be lowered with each attraction, to the point where it is a guaranteed catch on the 10th attraction.
Catching the Heart of the Meteor will return the Hunter to the Dawn phase and disarms Sunrise Cheese.
Upon catching the Heart of the Meteor, the following message is displayed in the Hunter's Journal:
- My trap somehow subdued the ferocity of the Heart of the Meteor!
- With the creature defeated, the power of the Fort Rox Portal Projector faded and I found myself transported back into the Dawn, almost as if no time had passed at all.
- I disarmed my Sunrise Cheese, as it would be no use here.
- I must craft another Fort Rox Portal Projector and venture in for another challenge!
The Hunter may enter the Heart of the Meteor phase multiple times without affecting their Wall health or progress in the Dawn phase.
