Overview

Infernal Puppy is a location in the Rift Plane region requiring a minimum rank of Grand Duke/Duchess and the Rift Detector to enter.
The Rift Detector can be purchased at the Living Garden Cartographer for 120,000 gold and 5 Dol Essences.
Mice found in the Infernal Puppy are weak only to Rift type weapons. They are attracted to String Cheeses, Ancient String Cheese and Runic String Cheese.Mice found in Infernal Puppy may steal points, gold or multiple pieces of cheese if not captured.
Hunters navigate Chambers by collecting set amount of loot, eventually entering the Acolyte Chamber to face off against the Absolute Acolyte.

Heads-Up Display (HUD)

In the top left, there is a Loot meter indicating progress in the chamber. Under the Loot meter, a hunter's available Quantum Quartz and a button displaying either ``ACTIVATE`` or ``ACTIVATED`` are shown. Upon hovering the button, an explanation on the working of Quantum Quartz will be displayed. On the bottom left, the hunter's available String Cheese, Ancient String Cheese, Runic String Cheese, Ancient String Cheese Potions and Runic String Cheese Potions are shown:

The middle section of the HUD displays portals. These will be either open or closed depending on progress in the room itself. On the bottom of the middle section, an Ancient Hourglass, Portal Scramblers and Portal Rekindling Keys are shown. Inbetween the Portal Scramblers and Portal Rekindling Keys, there is a button with SCRAMBLE, which when clicked consumes a Portal Scrambler to generate a new set of portals. This is only possible while the portals are open. While a hunter has an Ancient Hourglass, this will be replaced with the hunter's current stock of Time Sand.
In the top right corner, a brief description of the current room is displayed. In the bottom right corner, the 3 buffs and curses are displayed. While active, the buffs will be highlighted in green and the curses will be highlighted in red. These buffs and curses are:

Area Mechanics

The general goal in Infernal Puppy is to navigate through chambers to eventually catch an Absolute Acolyte. This is done by entering a room, clearing it's loot, and repeating this process untill an Acolyte Chamber is reached. The chambers present in Infernal Puppy are the following:
Loot focussed chamber: These are the chambers where the main reason to hunt in them is the loot obtained by doing so:

Buff & Curse removal chamber: These are rooms that reward you with a buff untill you catch your next Absolute Acolyte. They can only be cleared once per run. Clearing these rooms without fulfilling a certain condition will leave you with a curse, which can be dispelled in the corresponding curse removal chamber. Buff chambers will only appear while you don't have the buff, and curse removal chambers will only appear when you are cursed.

A powerful gigantic beast that has come lumbering out of the center of the meteor which is seemingly the source of chaos stirring up all of the mayhem in Fort Rox. Looking to reclaim the stolen Meteorite Pieces of which he is composed, he is heading directly to the Fort Rox battlements to retrieve them from the very walls where they reside.

This mouse carries with it great treasures and if caught will drop a handful to be used in the creation of powerful traps.

Each time this mouse is caught, he becomes more enraged and your fort wall will take more damage the next time you fail to capture any mouse!

Mouse ID#:

Preferred Cheese

Monster of the Meteor mice have no specific preference for any kind of cheese.

Hunting Strategy

Arcane traps are very effective against the Monster of the Meteor. Shadow traps are of normal effectiveness.
Monster of the Meteor mice can only be encountered during the dawn phase in Fort Rox.

Upon catching the Monster of the Meteor, the following message is displayed in the Hunter's Journal:
Capturing the Monster of the Meteor enraged him and his company of guards.
From now on, any mouse I fail to capture will do x00% damage to my fort wall!

With every catch the % damage will increase with an additional 100%, and the HUD will display a different level of irritation with each catch:

Wall Damage

When Hunters reach Dawn each catch of a Monster of the Meteor will multiply the damage effects to the wall by an additional 100%. Any FTC of a Monster of the Meteor or Dawn Guardian will result in greater damage to the Hunter's wall. Damage from encountering a Battering Ram Mouse is not multiplied.

Shielding Charms can be used to prevent mice from stealing gold, points, or cheese and causing a red box FTC. The amount of damage this prevents can be significant when the damage multiplier is high.
