Special Items are items that appear in the Special Inventory tab. The special items are currently divided into 4 sub-sections:

In particular, the Baskets & Kits are interactive special items and are also known as Convertibles. Each convertible includes two action buttons which will convert one or all of that Special item into other inventory pieces. If you do not wish to open all, but also do not want to open them one-by-one you can click on the "?" button in the right top corner of a special item and a pop-up will open to Larry's Loot Lexicon (LLL) where you can select how many of the item you want to open in one go.

Some convertibles will result in multiple items (such as Dragon's Chest or Mysterious Box), but most are randomly converted to only one item out of the possibilities. Even when only one item is produced, there is often a random range in the quantity of that item (such as anywhere between one and five Peppers per Pepper Plant).

Some special items can only be obtained during Events. The Ronza Vouchers are currently the only Limited Edition special items.

This incredible nugget looks an awful lot like gold. Thankfully, however, it is not such a commonplace metal. In fact, this tiny nugget is extremely rare and is therefore very valuable. Scientifically known as Pyrite, it is referred to as "Fool's Gold" because more than once someone has traded in a handful of the stuff for a single wedge of cheese thinking it was mere regular gold.

There is no shortage of shop keepers around when Fool's Gold might accidentally trade hands and provide them with an early retirement.
