This horrifying, hulking monstrosity is the ultimate scourge of the Foreword Farm. It is a ruthless and menacing pest with a large but very specific appetite and will therefore only target fields that are full of its favourite crop. This terrifying but remarkably well-dressed creature may be less common than other species of midges but it is equally as annoying and far more dangerous. Seasoned farmers are all too accustomed to the ominous hum that precedes the coming of these predatory pests so much so that even the mere memory of it is enough to keep them up at night. There is a famous and forboding passage in the Gnawnian Farmer's Almanac that reads: "When a sky of fire sings its tune, A farmer knows the end is soon." Only the bravest hunters looking for a formidable challenge should dare to face off against this frightening foe. However, fortune tends to favour the bold so those who do succeed in catching the Monstrous Midge will find themselves handsomely rewarded!
