Talk:Trap Setup Options for the Acolyte Realm
From MHWiki
Incomplete
The article as it currently stands is incomplete. In the first place, it only has ACRONYM represented. There are luckier traps (Horsey, PartyBot, SnoB, and ChromeBot) that have a better chance at getting the Mysterious Box than ACRONYM, though it will incur a goodly number of misses in the process (PartyBot/Aqua/Runic + shield catch rate in the AR is around 25ish%). Second, it does not present the optional luck bonus from the golden shield. Third, it does not show the new Ancient Box trap, which is the obvious choice for Acolyte hunting. --Metal 13:12, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- I will update this with the new Ancient Box Trap. As a matter of policy the trap setup pages do not include limited edition traps. The rankings are based upon not having the lucky shield activated. In most cases having the lucky shield active or not does not impact the ranking of the setups. Thanks for the feedback. -- Ralphminer 21:42, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- Waiting for catch rate estimate tool to be updated with latest tool. Is there any reason to use any cheese besided Runic in this location? -- Ralphminer 03:54, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- Needs the tribal base added, as well as the ancient box trap. I don't know of any reason at all for Ancient to appear in this table. The catch rate estimator is not yet accurate for the acolyte, although it probably is accurate enough for the purposes of this table (that is, further accuracy would not change the order of traps for any of the sort criteria). --Winelight 22:29, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
- Well done Ralphminer for doing this, I haven't done the tables before and didn't want to mess anything up.--Winelight 13:49, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
