The Living Garden Has Opened!
14 November 2012
The Living Garden Has Opened!
The long-forbidden Living Garden has finally been opened to the public again, but something sinister is going on! The wild and exotic plants and flowers of the Living Garden have been overrun by strange mice exhibiting stranger behaviour...
Living Garden
The tiny mice have adapted the environment around them to their purpose and have strapped on various pieces of plants as weapons and armour! Even stranger, they've begun hoarding tiny glowing plants called Garden Essences and protecting them at all costs.
Lost City
Nearby, a town in the desert has fallen under a terrible curse and become lost between worlds! The mice that inhabit the town have all been turned incorporeal, ghostly, and fierce, but they too are stockpiling Garden Essences for their own reasons.
Sand Dunes
In between the two lies the Sand Dunes of the desert, where Grubling Mice race from scrap of food to scrap of food, gorging themselves as best they can and making the difficult desert life ever more challenging for all the other mice. And as before, all the mice here are collecting and protecting Garden Essences. What is going on?
Wild New Mice!
Strawberry Hotcakes Mouse
This little firebrand is simultaneously the most dangerous and most helpful mouse in the Living Garden. Threatening her friends? A FLOOD OF HOT SAUCE. Food too bland? A FLOOD OF HOT SAUCE. Her peppergun has incredible range, and the pepper reservoir on her back seems to never run dry, so don't try to outrange or outlast her. At best you can hope to surprise her, but act quickly because when surprised she unleashes A FLOOD OF HOT SAUCE.
Ethereal Enchanter Mouse
There's some debate as to why the Lost City was lost between dimensions, but the actions of certain mice are definitely suspect. This mouse was known to dabble in all kinds of unsavory arcane activities and rituals. However, since he was trapped like everyone else, suspicion quickly waned.
Grubling Herder Mouse
Grubling Herders are a solemn and insular group, trained from birth to direct and control the voracious Grubling mice away from vital crops. They hail from a place of shadow known only as "Muddy'Deeb", and dedicate their lives to ensuring the rampage of the Grubling mice remains under their control. The Grublings must flow!
Garden Essences
Small, glowing plants, these Garden Essences are jealously guarded by the mice. They certainly contain great power, but how best to use it? Make sure to check out your new "Book of Living Recipes" when you get to the Living Garden to see all the different things you can make from them, but be ready to experiment to find out exactly what combines with what.
Minigames!
Every new area has its own new minigame associated with it. Attentive players will be able to dispel curses, collect water for Thirsty mice, and watch out for the Grubling stampedes! While not mandatory, paying careful attention and playing these minigames will make it a lot easier to collect Garden Essences and craft fantastic new recipes! To play these minigames, visit the shops in each area to purchase and use cool new charms with unique effects!
And much, much more!
Of course this isn't all that's going on in the Living Garden, Sand Dunes, and Lost City, but you'll have to explore and experiment to find out more! There's a terrible secret hiding in amongst the plants and mice, and world-changing lore waiting to be uncovered! Only dedication, hard work, and a mountain of patience will serve you in uncovering the secrets of... The Living Garden

Something swampy this way comes!
18 October 2012
Something swampy this way comes!
In a cloud of noxious gasses and bellowing a mighty roar, the Swamp Thang Mouse has burst forth from the Living Garden and charged headlong into Gnawnia! Finding the Haunted Terrortories there waiting for him, he kicked Mousevina from her throne and has settled in.
Now he's guarding a whole horde of loot from last year and new treasures besides!
How to hunt at the Haunted Terrortories
Navigating the Haunted Terrortories will require a hunter to both trick and treat the mice there by hunting with Ghoulgonzola (trick) and Candy Corn (treat) Cheese.
Gathering trick and treat cheese in Gnawnia is a familiar tradition. Each day, hunters may visit up to 10 friends and receive some bait. Before you visit others, be sure to visit your own profile and choose what type of cheese you're handing out! If you find yourself getting low on cheese, you can also hunt at the Terrortories using Swiss, Brie, Gouda or SUPER|brie+ to attract Hollowhead Mice that drop Halloween Cheese. Additionally, you may find it inside Pumpkin Treat Baskets which you can send as gifts to friends!
The Haunted Terrortories consists of three areas: The Corn Maze, Haunted Manor and the Pumpkin Patch. You must both trick AND treat enough mice in your current area to begin attracting mice from the next. Your trick and treat progress will be displayed while hunting in the Haunted Terrortories.
Are you an experienced hunter looking to hunt more challenging and rewarding mice? Visit the Charm Shoppe at the Haunted Terrortories and purchase Spooky Charms which, when armed, will attract more fearsome mice worth greater rewards!
Spooky Rewards
The Swamp Thang Mouse has a variety of goodies to plunder this year! A terrifying new trap, a chance at a haunted new map, and some... scraps of paper? I'm sure they'll be useful for something...
While visiting friends and hunting your way toward the Swamp Thang Mouse, you may also find a few morsels of Halloween Candy, and if you're especially lucky you may even come across rare Cobwebs. These Halloween Candies and Cobwebs can be exchanged at the various Haunted Terrortories shops to purchase a wide variety of exciting loot, including fantastic charms and never-before-seen trap skins!
Customize MouseHunt with Themes!
Look on your profile and you'll see a new button labelled "Select Theme". Click on it to launch MouseHunt's new theme chooser, where you can pick a special theme to change the entire appearance of your Hunter's Journal! These themes will be shown on your Camp, as well as your Profile for all to see!
You can unlock the Golden Shield theme by having the Golden Shield, and the Hallowe'en Theme by gathering Hallowe'en Theme Scraps and crafting them together into the Completed Hallowe'en Theme. The first scrap can be found on the Swamp Thang Mouse, but the other two will require some investigating to find!

The Leprechaun Has Returned!
10 October 2012
The Leprechaun Has Returned!
The rumours are true! More and more Leprechaun Mouse sightings have been reported in the last week, and it looks like they are here to stay! What's more, hunters can expect to see even more Leprechaun mice in the coming week, all carrying great rewards and each with a chance to win a real cash prize!
Until Wednesday, October 17, there will be more prize mice and Leprechaun mice than usual roaming the lands! When this little streak of luck is over, the Leprechaun mice and other prize mice will be harder to find, but they are here to stay!
Use common cheese (Cheddar, Brie, Gouda, SUPER|brie+, or anything not overly special, rare, or difficult to obtain) to attract a prize mouse to your trap, but be warned for they are tough and will put up a fight! If you catch one, you have a chance at winning a real cash prize!
Mystery Pot of Gold
Every Leprechaun mouse carries with it a Mystery Pot of Gold. If you manage to attract and catch one of these elusive mice, you'll be guaranteed this wonderful prize! What's inside? Tons of GOLD, of course! Along with a bunch of SUPER|brie+ and some Ultimate Luck Charms.
And sometimes, at the bottom, there's an even greater prize lying under all that gold!
Will you be one of these lucky hunters?

Treasure Hunting Update, King's Gauntlet Tourneys, and Checkout Shop Overhaul!
10 September 2012
Treasure Hunting Update, King's Gauntlet Tourneys, and Checkout Shop Overhaul!
A lot of work went into MouseHunt in the last week and it's finally time to release it all at once!
The Relic Hunter and treasure hunting in general has gotten a much needed once-over to clear up some lingering bugs and to also improve the displaying maps and inviting friends!
Along with that, with great help from the community, the new King's Gauntlet tournaments are now ready to go! Look for one on the Tournament Listings page!
And finally, the checkout shop has had a much-needed massive overhaul, allowing us to bring back the beloved kits from the past that just couldn't fit anymore!
Treasure Hunting Update
Wow. Wow! So much treasure hunting has gone on. How much? So much! Over 65,000 maps have been found and completed so far. That's... That's a LOT of treasure hunting!
Ancient Relics
With so many hunters all digging for treasure at once, the delicate Treasure-Hunting Ecosystem has been forever altered!
What does this mean? For one, all the easy Ancient Relics have been found, and mice that had large stockpiles of relics in the past have noticed their reserves are dwindling. No mouse drops an Ancient Relic on every catch any more, though some are still more common than others. Keep an eye out!
Treasure Chests
However, all this is good news for treasure chests! With the increased rarity of relics, all the Treasure Chests now have more and more varied treasure in them!
Harder chests will reward more points and gold than before, with Arduous maps being significantly improved to balance out the incredible difficulty of the mice required. That means hunters will earn more rewards for their hard work!
So keep hunting, hunters! Treasure hunting has never been more rewarding than now!
King's Gauntlet Tourneys
Due to popular demand, the King is proud to announce the grand opening of the King's Gauntlet tournaments! He reached out to the many hunters in the land for aid and assistance, and the resulting tournaments are entirely community created!
Wait, tournaments? That's right! There are two tournaments for the King's Gauntlet – one for the higher floors, and one for the lower ones! No matter where you are through the Gauntlet, you should have ample opportunity to play and win!
Checkout Shop Overhaul
We've been slowly rolling out a new checkout system a few users at a time, so some of you may have seen this already, but today we're opening it up to everyone: a brand-new checkout!
It's a lot cleaner, allows us to offer a lot more information to you about your purchases, provides a nicer shopping cart system, and most importantly, allows us to bring back a lot more of your favourite packages!
No more needing to remove old packages due to size restrictions, so your Tournament Kits, Tribal Isle Kits, Warpath Kits and more should always be available in the future!
