The Nightmancer is a breed of mouse found in Fort Rox. They are not known to drop any loot.

Preferred Cheese
The Nightmancer Mouse have no specific preference for any kind of cheese.
Hunting Strategy
Shadow traps are very effective against the Nightmancer Mouse. Arcane traps are of normal effectiveness.
The Nightmancer Mouse can only be encountered during the Twilight, Midnight, Pitch, and Utter Darkness phases at Nighttime in Fort Rox.
Once a hunter has upgraded the Fort Rox fort to the Sunsilver Ballista, it is no longer possible to miss a Nightmancer.
Upon a failure to catch a Nightmancer, the following message is displayed in the Hunter's Journal:
- The night sky darkens... Failing to catch the Nightmancer Mouse extended the night by 3 hunts.
If the hunter also has the Sunsphere Enchantment upgrade, the failure to catch message includes an additional line:
- Even the power of my Sunsphere Enchantment had no effect on this mouse!
