This lonesome vigilante creates quite the scene when he enters town. His appearance often signals trouble and a whole heap of it. Shopkeepers often bar their doors and windows while he wanders the streets, as his reckless style tends to leave smoking ruins wherever he passes. Extremely dangerous and self-sufficient, it is said that this mouse is known to honour just one authority figure: the Sheriff.
Capturing this mouse will earn you the Sealed Wanted Poster he's carrying. Track down the gang and earn a bounty for it! The Bounty Hunter Mouse won't stick around if you're already chasing down a bounty. This mouse will bend to the authority of the local Sheriff. Hunters with a Sheriff's Badge Charm equipped will instantly catch the Bounty Hunter Mouse and collect two Sealed Wanted Posters from him. Easier than licking dust off of a barn! | |||

Hunting Strategy
Law type traps such as S.L.A.C. are very effective against the Bounty Hunter Mouse.
The Bounty Hunter Mouse can only be encountered if the Hunter is not doing a Wanted Poster.
The Bounty Hunter Mouse is guaranteed to drop a Sealed Wanted Poster upon capture.
Hunters with a Sheriff's Badge Charm equipped are guaranteed to catch the next Bounty Hunter Mouse they encounter and loot 2 Sealed Wanted Posters, even without using a Law trap. The mouse attraction rate remains the same.
If the Hunter already has the maximum limit of 6 Sealed Wanted Poster, the Bounty Hunter Mouse will not drop one, with the following message appearing in the Hunter's Journal:
- The Bounty Hunter Mouse didn't leave me a Sealed Wanted Poster as I have the maximum allowed by the Marshall of Varmint Valley.
History and Trivia
- 25 June 2013: The Bounty Hunter Mouse was released as part of the Claw Shot City content.
- 14 June 2022: Sealed Wanted Posters are now a guaranteed loot drop and the Bounty Hunter Mouse can now be encountered even when Hunters have Sealed Wanted Posters in their inventory. The message that used to be displayed in the Hunter's Journal upon capturing the Bounty Hunter Mouse was removed:
- I've caught a Bounty Hunter! He was carrying a Sealed Wanted Poster, which are special bounties issued from the Marshall of Varmint Valley! I should unfurl the Wanted Poster, bring a friend along as my Deputy, and start hunting down one of the Wild Bunch mouse gangs!
- While I'm actively hunting down a Wild Bunch gang, the Bounty Hunter Mouse will avoid my trap until he can find a new poster for me.
