I think this page should be moved to [[Master (disambiguation)]] and the original [[Master]] page return to the redirect. Is there some way to only show <nowiki>{{otherusesof}}</nowiki> on the [[Hunter's Title]] page only if it's redirected from Master? I tried to use <nowiki>{{#ifeq : {{PAGENAME}} | Master | {{otherusesof}} }}</nowiki> but it doesn't seem to work. I think that'd be the best way to handle this if possible. --[[User:Hyperchao|Hyperchao]] 11:33, 4 September 2009 (UTC) | I think this page should be moved to [[Master (disambiguation)]] and the original [[Master]] page return to the redirect. I think this page should be moved to Master (disambiguation) and the original Master page return to the redirect. Is there some way to only show {{otherusesof}} on the Hunter's Title page only if it's redirected from Master? I tried to use {{#ifeq : {{PAGENAME}} | Master | {{otherusesof}} }} but it doesn't seem to work. I think that'd be the best way to handle this if possible. --Hyperchao 11:33, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
- I moved the page, but as for the other stuff? Don't worry about it. That's far more complicated than this wiki needs or wants. We've got a small user base and an even smaller pool of semi-skilled editors. More fancy templates will cause more problems, guaranteed. To answer part of your question, however, the reason the stuff you tried to do doesn't work is twofold: (1) you only brought in some of the Wikipedia templates on which {{otherusesof}} depends and (2) Wikipedia has more stuff going on behind the scenes to make things work than does this out-of-the-box Mediawiki installation. - Ah, it seemed to me that we had at least a couple "experts". What I suggested would not require any template; I just can't seem to get #ifeq to work at all, which I assumed was a basic wiki tool. If logic isn't enabled then so be it. I brought over enough of {{otherusesof}} for it to work so that was not the issue. Trust me, I am not one to bring in fancy templates; just simple ones that might help people out. The way this page is right now is fine. Someone can figure out how to redirect Master better eventually. --Hyperchao 17:01, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
