| This mouse cares not for cheese. To say the Eclipse Mouse commands the forces of darkness would be to underestimate its power, for it commands the very fear of darkness, liquifying hunters’ souls with a constant barrage of nightmares. It also turns traps against their owners, sending knives, lasers and even giant squid sailing through the air after opponents. The Eclipse Mouse has been found to be especially attracted to Gauntlet Cheese Tier 8, to the point that any other kind of cheese will simply not suffice.
Hunting Strategy
Forgotten weapons are very effective against the Eclipse Mouse. While all power types are listed as very effective, Forgotten traps far outperform all others. It is not recommended that hunters attempt to catch the Eclipse Mouse until they have a strong Forgotten weapon.

- 8 June 2010: The Eclipse Mouse was introduced as part of the King's Gauntlet with the MouseHunt v3.0 update, but remained locked.
- 9 July 2010: The Eclipse Mouse was unlocked when the King granted Hunters permission to use the Gauntlet Potion Tier 8.
- 14 April 2011: The Eclipse Mouse began dropping a bonus Eclipse Egg as loot during the Spring Egg Hunt 2012 event.
- 29 August 2012: The Eclipse Mouse began dropping Ancient Relic as loot.
