The Riptide Mouse is a breed of mouse found in Balack's Cove. They are not known to drop any loot.
Riptide mice cannot be found during the low tide in the Balack's Cove, but become more abundant as the tides rise. Upon capturing this mouse, hunters are transported to Jungle of Dread.

| Before it was home to a swarm of lich fiends, Balack’s Cove was known for its strange tidal patterns. One moment, the tide is so far out to sea that you can see clams going about their business a mile out, and the next, it rushes back in, swallowing anything caught in the spillover. The source of these tidal quirks is the Riptide Mouse, a mercurial character who is seldom seen, but often felt when its waves wash hapless Hunters up on the sandy shores of the Jungle of Dread. | |||

Preferred Cheese
Riptide mice have been found to be attracted to Vanilla Stilton cheese, and to a lesser extent Vengeful Vanilla Stilton.
Hunting Strategy
Capturing a Riptide Mouse will cause Hunters to be washed out of Balack's Cove and into the Jungle of Dread.
- During Low Tide the Riptide Mouse cannot be encountered.
- During Medium Tide the Riptide Mouse can be encountered.
- During High Tide the Riptide Mouse is the only mouse that can be encountered.
Arming any of the various Anchor Charms will prevent a Hunter from being washed out when capturing a Riptide Mouse.

- The Riptide Mouse drops the Riptide Egg during the annual Spring Egg Hunt.
