Preferred Cheese
- The Hydra Mouse has been found to be especially attracted to Gnarled and Wicked Gnarly cheese, to the point that any other kind of cheese will simply not suffice.
- The Hydra Mouse can be attracted by standard cheese, but it has a distinct preference for SUPER|brie+.
Hunting Strategy
Hydro traps are very effective against the Hydra Mouse. Physical and Tactical traps are of normal effectiveness, but could perform better than a weak Hydro trap.
The Hydra Mouse drops the Ship Blueprints in the Lagoon and Bolt of Cloth, Rope, Scrap Metal, Simple Orb, and Splintered Wood in both locations.

- 25 January 2011: The Hydra Mouse began dropping Simple Orb as loot.
- 14 April 2011: The Hydra Mouse began dropping a bonus Hydra Egg as loot as part of the Spring Egg Hunt 2011 event.
- 29 July 2015: The strength of the Hydra Mouse was decreased. The quantity of Bolt of Cloth, Rope, Scrap Metal and Splintered Wood dropped by Hydra Mouse was increased.
