Scrap Metal is dropped by Scavenger Mouse in the Catacombs and Forbidden Grove, and was available among the Birthday Gifts. It is used in crafting Obelisk of Incineration and Arcane Capturing Rod Of Never Yielding Mystery.
Currently, there is no way to purchase or trade scrap metal.
