Deep below the cursed soil of the Mousoleum are underground caverns that stretch to the west where long-forgotten mice roam. These powerful mice are highly resistant to most types of damage and apparently have a weakness for Radioactive Blue cheese. The creatures of the Catacombs seem strangely organized, as if they are preparing for something. Who knows what sinister secrets a hunter may uncover here...?

Overview

The Catacombs are a location in the Bristle Woods region requiring a minimum rank of Legendary and the Repaired Mousoleum Map Piece to enter.
The Repaired Mousoleum Map Piece can be obtained by taking the Tattered Mousoleum Map Piece to the Cartographer in the Bazaar for repair.
Hunters must capture the Keeper Mouse to obtain the Keeper's Candle, which grants access to the Forbidden Grove.
Mice in the Catacombs may steal points, gold, or multiple pieces of cheese if not captured.

Catacombs Mice

The mice in the Catacombs are a mix from the Indigenous, The Shadow Clan, and The Forgotten Mice groups.
The Grave Robber and Zombot Unipire mice are from the Event Mice group, but are weak to the same Power Types as the other mice found here.
Hunters should arm Shadow or Arcane weapons, depending on their bait selection, though strong Forgotten weapons may outperform them when hunting with Radioactive Blue Cheese.

Cheese Preference and Loot

Radioactive Blue Cheese, Rancid Radioactive Blue Cheese or Magical Rancid Radioactive Blue Cheese will attract all mice in the Catacombs, except the Grave Robber, Ravenous Zombie, and Zombot Unipire mice.
Ancient Cheese significantly reduces the mice population of the Catacombs to just The Forgotten Mice and the Vampire Mouse. Arcane weapons are strongly recommended when hunting with Ancient Cheese.
Moon Cheese or Crescent Cheese removes a number of mice from the population, including all The Forgotten Mice, except the Scavenger Mouse.
Undead Emmental or Undead String Emmental are the only bait that will attract the Grave Robber, Ravenous Zombie, and Zombot Unipire mice.

Hunting Strategy

While in the Catacombs, Hunters must capture the Keeper Mouse to obtain the Keeper's Candle, which grants access to the Forbidden Grove.

Hunters should arm Shadow or Arcane weapons, depending on their bait selection, though strong Forgotten weapons may outperform them when hunting with Radioactive Blue Cheese.

Radioactive Blue Cheese will attract all mice in the Catacombs, except the Grave Robber, Ravenous Zombie, and Zombot Unipire mice.
Ancient Cheese significantly reduces the mice population of the Catacombs, to just The Forgotten Mice and the Vampire Mouse. Arcane weapons are strongly recommended when hunting with Ancient Cheese
Moon Cheese removes a number of mice from the population, including all The Forgotten Mice, except the Scavenger Mouse.
Undead Emmental is the only cheese that will attract the Grave Robber, Ravenous Zombie, and Zombot Unipire mice.

Hunting Tips by Larry

Zounds! And I thought the Mousoleum was creepy!

The rodent horrors that wander these catacombs have existed since before the founding of Gnawnia, and have been forgotten by the rest of the world. Hunting these Forgotten mice is incredibly challenging since they have few known weaknesses. You will need Radioactive Blue cheese to attract the mice of the Catacombs.

Forgotten mice can be caught using a Shadow trap, but Arcane traps work better. Visit the Trapsmith here to purchase the Obelisk of Slumber -- an Arcane trap with a minty fresh scent! The Trapsmith also stocks some even more powerful Arcane traps.

Located deep within the Catacombs is a hallway too dark to navigate. Hunters often speak of Keeper mice wandering down the corridor using a magical candle to light the path. Perhaps, if you were to obtain one of these candles, you could do the same.
