The Paragon of Shadow is a breed of mouse found on the Floating Islands, on a Shadow Stonghold. Only one can be caught per island. It can only be encountered while engaging the island's protector.

| Ancient island folklore tells a tale of the Harbinger of Night: a mouse so dark and powerful that its very presence frightens away the sun. For generations, parents on the Floating Islands have used this old yarn to scare their children into returning home before dusk. Unlike many legends however, this story has a terrifying truth to it. The Paragon of Shadow is believed to be one of the most powerful shadow casters in existence and is a very real threat to anyone brave (or foolish) enough to travel to the high altitude islands.

Hunting Strategy
Only Shadow traps are effective against the Paragon of Shadow, all other power types are ineffective. The Paragon of Shadow can only be encountered on a Shadow Stronghold. Only one can be caught per island. It can only be encountered while engaging the island's protector.

Spring Egg Hunt
- The Paragon of Shadow drops Enchanted Wing Egg, Cloudstone Bangle Egg, Sky Sprocket Egg, and Skysoft Silk Egg during the annual Spring Egg Hunt depending on the Active Buff.
History and Trivia
- 08 September 2020: The Paragon of Shadow was introduced with the release of the Floating Islands.
- 30 March 2021: The Paragon of Shadow started dropping the eggs during Spring Egg Hunt 2021.
