Cartographer
Cartographers are masters of patching damaged maps. Their rare skill takes a long time to learn and is often passed down from generation to generation. Although the hopes of finding routes to new hunting locations is exciting, the tedious nature of restoring maps makes hiring a cartographer rather expensive.
Hiring a Cartographer
Every MouseHunter relies on their magical map to navigate the ever-changing terrain of the world and travel to different hunting areas.
During your travels you may be lucky enough to discover new map pieces that will reveal new routes and hunting locations. Some of these magical map pieces hold more secrets than meets the eye. Certain cartographers are able to restore damaged map pieces or embellish details to unlock magical realms of discovery and adventure.
So far the Cartographer is open in the Bazaar, and can repair the Shredded Furoma Map piece.
While the cartographer is repairing your map, you cannot travel to that location if it is your only copy of that map. So if the cartographer is repairing your Shredded Furoma Map Piece, you cannot travel to Furoma until you get it back, unless you have another Furoma map piece. However, you can obtain another map while yours is being repaired, if you happen to catch a mouse that drops one.
The repaired maps are as follows:
- Shredded Furoma Map Piece
- Cost to Restore: 90,000 gold
- Time to Restore: 1 day (apx.)
- Hunters often find pieces of the Furoma map slighty shredded by the claws of mice. A skilled cartographer is able to restore this shredded map by stitching a patch over the damaged area to reveal additional detail.
- Tattered Mousoleum Map
- Cost to Restore: 225,000 gold
- Time to Restore: 5 days (apx.)
- Researching artifacts uncovered while digging new graves in the Mousoleum suggest that mystery lies below the graveyard. Based on both research and very faded ink on the ancient cloth a cartographer is able to embellish details for a closer look. Restoring an artifact as delicate as the ancient cloth requires a great deal of time and skill and does not come cheap.
- The cartographer is still researching how to restore this map.
