Ancient is a crafted cheese. It is one of the main baits used in the Acolyte Realm, Catacombs and Forbidden Grove.
Crafting Ancient Cheese
The main ingredients to create Ancient cheese are Stale Cheese and Ionized Salt. Stale cheese can be collected when the cheese goes stale when one sounds the horn. Ionized Salt is bought in the General Store of the Bazaar for 450 gold.
Three pieces
The first recipe provides 3 pieces of Ancient cheese for 3 Stale Cheeses.

Six pieces
As the Stale Cheese is somewhat laborious to gather, one can also consider making 6 pieces instead of 3, for the same amount of Stale Cheese and of Ionized Salt. The downside is that one needs to use 3 SUPER|brie+ which has been preliminary smashed into Magic Essence.

Imbuing Ancient Cheese
Using an Ancient Cheese Curd Potion converts either Brie or SUPER|brie+ cheese into Ancient cheese.
The hunter's title and the type of cheese used in the conversion both determine the amount of Ancient cheese generated and the gold required per piece.
