| This mouse cares not for cheese. To say the Eclipse Mouse commands the forces of darkness would be to underestimate its power, for it commands the very fear of darkness, liquifying hunters’ souls with a constant barrage of nightmares. It also turns traps against their owners, sending knives, lasers and even giant squid sailing through the air after opponents. It has only been trapped once before, and after it reached the King’s gauntlet, the hunter disappeared. Good luck. | |||

Preferred Cheese
Eclipse mice have been found to be especially attracted to Gauntlet Cheese Tier 8, to the point that any other kind of cheese will simply not suffice.
History and Trivia
- The "Stealth Mouse" in the 1 April 2010 news item was the invisible version of the Eclipse Mouse.
- The Eclipse Mouse was introduced 8 June 2010 with the MouseHunt v3.0 update. However, hunters are not expected to be able to hunt these mice until 9 July 2010 when the King grants them permission to use the Gauntlet Potion Tier 8.
Hunting Strategy
Eclipse mice are weak to Forgotten type traps (currently only Ancient Box Trap). They may also be weak to other strong traps such as Ice Maiden or RhinoBot.
