Balack the Banished is a breed of mouse found in Balack's Cove. It is known to drop Lich Jewels as loot, but only while hunters are in the process of completing the Zurreal Trap Research Assignment. It occasionally drops an Ancient Relic as loot.

| Once, the three tribes, Nerg, Derr and Elub, were one, united under a ruler so cruel and merciless that the tribes-mice lived in constant fear of his whims. The Elders formulated a plan to banish Balack’s spirit to a remote cove near the Jungle of Dread, but he had other plans. He allowed the Elders to banish him, but he corrupted their enchantment along the way, pulling his attackers into the cove with him to be his servants for the rest of eternity. | |||

Balack the Banished has been found to be especially attracted to Vengeful Vanilla Stilton cheese, to the point that any other kind of cheese will simply not suffice.

- Balack the Banished was first introduced as Balack the Betrayed after a news ticker message appeared on 7 May 2010 reading "Balack the Betrayed is coming..." Additional teaser messages were provided for several days until a banner appeared on the MouseHunt page, declaring Balack would return 17 May 2010.
- Balack the Banished was originally named Balack the Banished Mouse. Its name was changed with the release of MouseHunt Version 3.0.
- 23 August 2011: Balack the Banished began to drop Lich Jewel as loot.
- 29 August 2012: Balack the Banished began to drop Ancient Relic as loot.
- 30 March 2021: Balack the Banished began to drop Balack the Banished Egg as part of the Spring Egg Hunt 2021 event.
- 17 January 2023: Balack the Banished began to drop Pepper Seeds, Bottled-Up Rage, Delicious Stones, Empowered Anchor Charms, Flawless Orbs, Pinch of Annoyance, Raisins of Wrath, Savoury Vegetables, Seashells, and Vanilla Beans as loot.
