Travel Prudence

Since it always costs nothing to go back to Gnawnia town, one should never pay more than the Gnawnia traveling cost. Thus, (based on these figures) anyone who goes from Digby town to the Meadow, the Laboratory to the Harbor, or almost anywhere to the Mountain is either ill-informed or dumb.

--Jpsanggaran 03:35, 23 October 2008 (UTC) I don't get this comment. Whilst it is true that it costs nothing to go from anywhere to the gnawnia, it is not true that to go to gnawnia then on to any destination is cheaper. Case in point the example used above laboratory to harbour direct costs 1161 where as to go from the lab to gnawnia then on to the harbour cost 1448, that is 287 gold cheaper to go directly there.

I mean the reason I put this chart togeather is so people could work these things out and find the cheapest route from where they are to where they are headed, I think it ill informed to assume that the gnawnia travel cost is the only one that you should consider.

The reason you don't get the comment is that the figures displayed were different on the date the comment was posted.69.108.230.204 05:07, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
  • weird...the data sheey I have has the same values as the current chart, except for gnawnia to digby at 921 instead of 920. when the chart was formated into it's current pretty format I guess someone might of inadvertantly changed a value--Jpsanggaran 11:23, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
  • The best, and currently only way I can see to save money (now that Ronza is gone) is in the specific case if you are traveling to the Mountain. It is usually cheaper to go to town first, then on to the mountain. --Sokolok 13:55, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Lol Look at the highest price on travel NOW

3,634. Thats it. Us old time hunters remember when the lab was like 6 times that!

Change in travel costs with Bristle Woods

I've noticed further change in the travel cost from Training Grounds to the Mousoleum. Seems like a bit more has changed. Please assist in updating. -- Grexx 21:28, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

I updated travel costs from Dojo - lots of changes! Camomiletea 21:36, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Today's travelling costs:

I traveled from the Bazaar and have arrived at the Mousoleum. The cost of the journey was 993 gold (this is more expensive now)
I traveled from the Mousoleum and have arrived at the Laboratory. The cost of the journey was 3,177 gold (but this is cheaper!)
I traveled from the Meditation Room and have arrived at the Bazaar. The cost of the journey was 1,237 gold (far more expensive!)--Fleurione 22:38, 3 March 2009 (UTC) (Leg)
As much as possible, please update the whole swathe of travel costs up to the highest area that you are currently able to reach. -- Grexx 22:46, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
What still needs to be updated? Could we maybe italicize the numbers which are new or known to be the same, until we've fixed everything? Also note that you can see the cost without actually moving if you click on the area on the travel page, but then don't select "hunt here." -- Pakaran 23:19, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
So far it seems travel costs from Dojo, Catacombs, Training Grounds, and Pinnacle Chamber have been updated. And a couple one Fleurione mentioned. Camomiletea 23:25, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
Like to say thanks to Laurenb for updating all the rest of the travel costs so quickly :) -- Grexx 06:26, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

tbc.

Almost forgot about this page lol. I'll add the table column and rows in. With that in, it usually gets filled in quite fast. -- Grexx 17:38, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
I believe you can remove the last column since the AR is not a destination on it's own... ;] _____m. 18:11, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Hmm the question is, can they leave the place? And is the travel cost different? If they can at least leave the place, we should just put '-' into the spaces. The table needs to be symmetrical to make sense. -- Grexx 18:13, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Travel Table Internal Layout

The table is now laid out into 5 rows in the following format:

  • Location name (column 1)
  • Gnawnia costs (columns 2 to 5)
  • Burroughs costs (columns 6 to 9)
  • Furoma costs (columns 10 to 13)
  • Bristle Woods costs (columns 14 to 16)

Whisker Woods Travel Prices

Are we sure they're right? They seem somewhat off - it doesn't make sense that it's cheaper from Clearing to Lab than from Meadow - just looking at the map shows you that the meadow's closer (same goes for harbour --> clearing opposed to meadow --> clearing) -- Slanzinger 13:48, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Just went through and verified Travel prices from Calm Clearing (not to Calm Clearing because I'm not ready to leave yet). Forbidden Grove is currently closed, but other than that all the amounts are right. It doesn't have to make sense based on location. Also the amount from Harbour to Clearing is correct. -- Camomiletea 14:32, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

S.S. Huntington II

S.S. Huntington II column should be the last one in the table. That's how it's sorted on the Travel page. I'm going to input the values for travel FROM S.S. Huntington, but could someone else fix the column, please afterwards? Thanks.

Dracano

I don't think we have the Nerg to Dracano cost on the table yet?

23:03 yesterday I traveled from the Dracano and have arrived at the Nerg Plains. The cost of the journey was 1,521 gold. 22:25 yesterday I traveled from the Nerg Plains and have arrived at the Dracano. The cost of the journey was 3,521 gold. WyndStryke 07:50, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
