Recent Maintenance and Downtime

Today shortly after the Lunar New Year event came to an end the game began to experience issues including trap setups and hunt results changing. Upon the issue coming to our attention we confirmed there was an issue and decided to put the game into unscheduled maintenance due to the severity of the problem.

The dev team got to work investigating what the cause of problem was. After some time we identified a network configuration issue isolated to a group of servers that were brought online shortly after the Lunar New Year event came to an end. This network issue caused connectivity problems between the web server and a data server causing the problem with trap setups not saving or changing.

We have now removed these faulty servers which appears to have corrected the issue Thanks for your patience and understanding while the team investigated the network issue at our hosting provider. Unfortunately during the period of instability hunters may have experienced strange events or side effects such as their trap setup or hunt results changing. If you experienced a major issue please contact us via support with a screenshot of the issue and description of what you experienced. We appreciate your patience as our response times may be slower due to an increased quantity of support requests.

The Lunar New Year Event Has Ended

23 February 2021

Thank you for celebrating the Year of the Ox!

All Good Things...

The Lunar New Year event has come to an end but the Year of the Ox rages on!

You are no longer able to light your lunar lantern candles or make any more progress on the reward track.

However, for one more week, you will still be able to claim any unclaimed track rewards and spend any unused candles on the Lunar New Year specific items in the shops of stockpile locations.

Any candles that you have not lit and choose not to spend will remain in your inventory along with any unused Dumpling Cheese and Nian Gao'da Cheese.

Still Working on an Event Map?

You still have the rest of this week to find those last few event mice to complete your map and earn its full rewards. Just head to any of the stockpile locations and arm your Dumpling Cheese or Nian Gao'da Cheese to attract the regular pool of Lunar New Year event mice.

Stockpile Locations Town of Gnawnia Laboratory Great Gnarled Tree Dojo S.S. Huntington IV Claw Shot City Muridae Market Gnawnia Rift Fungal Cavern Moussu Picchu Queso River Floating Islands (Launch Pad)

As of March 2, all of the Lunar New Year mice, rewards, and shop items will be gone until next year.

Happy Lunar New Year!

Celebrate the Year of the Ox
Light your Lunar Lantern to celebrate the Year of the Ox

Year of the Ox

Celebrate the Year of the Ox with lanterns, luck, and loot! The costumed mice have returned to Gnawnia for the festivities and are celebrating in twelve specific locations throughout the land. This year they are accompanied by the Costumed Ox Mouse who carries the mighty Ox Lunar Lantern with him.

Capture all the costumed mice, collect Lunar Lantern Candles, and retrieve the Ox Lantern so that you can start your own celebration by earning double or triple loot anywhere in the Kingdom!

How to Celebrate

Stockpile Locations The first step on your journey will be to travel to any one of these stockpile locations.

Town of Gnawnia Laboratory Great Gnarled Tree Dojo S.S. Huntington IV Claw Shot City Muridae Market Gnawnia Rift Fungal Cavern Moussu Picchu Queso River Floating Islands (LP) You can find them listed in the Lunar New Year Heads-Up Display along with a convenient travel button to take you there immediately.

Gather Dumpling Cheese Once you're in a stockpile location, you can gather Dumpling Cheese by just hunting the regular mice in the area with standard cheese.

Catch all the Costumed Mice Use your Dumpling Cheese to attract a whole slew of Lunar New Year mice, including the infamous costumed mice. These elusive critters will need to be caught in a specific order so once you catch the Costumed Tiger Mouse then you'll be able to attract the Costumed Rabbit Mouse and so on. The final mouse will be the new Costumed Ox Mouse and upon catching this elderly fellow, you'll be rewarded with his Ox Lunar Lantern.

Light the Lantern and Gain Rewards While hunting with Dumpling Cheese, you'll have undoubtedly picked up quite a few Lunar Lantern Candles by this point. And if you were hunting with the premium Nian Gao'da cheese then you've also likely found some Red Lunar Lantern Candles. Well, now it's time to use them! Once you own the Ox Lunar Lantern, you can begin lighting these candles and reaping their rewards!

When your lantern is lit with Lunar Lantern Candles, you will find DOUBLE loot from mice anywhere in the Kingdom! And if you're lighting Red Lunar Lantern Candles then you'll find TRIPLE loot!

But that's not all that these wonderful candles have to offer! While your lantern is lit, it will begin rising up into the air in search of other lucrative rewards. Each hunt you take with the regular candles burning will raise your lantern by one foot and each hunt with the red candles burning will raise your lantern by two feet!

Every ten feet that your lantern ascends, you'll receive a +1 Luck bonus to your trap that will apply whenever the candles are burning. The bonus is cumulative so the higher you go, the more luck you'll get!

Every thirty feet that your lantern ascends, you'll receive an extra reward in addition to the +1 Luck and the rewards keep getting better the higher you ascend! Be sure to check out the Heads-Up Display to get a glimpse of all the valuable items that await you along the reward track!

Love is in the Air

Valentine's Day is right around the corner so from February 11 to 16 you'll occasionally come across some especially amorous mice while hunting. Every so often, after catching one mouse, you'll notice that it wasn't alone! Special Valentine's mice will occasionally appear as bonus hunts after a successful catch! They won't consume any cheese or charms and won't affect area gameplay progression in any way but they will drop some unique Valentine's loot so keep an eye out for these romantic rodents.

The Valentine's Matchmaker Mini-Event will run from February 11 to 16

Treasure Seekers

A new Lantern Lighter Scroll Case is available at the Cartographer in all stockpile locations. Following the clues of this map will lead you to a chest of rewards that will help to speed up your candle collecting.

The Valentine's Matchmaker Scroll Case is returning this year and will be available at every Cartographer in the kingdom but only for a limited time! So if you're looking for some passionate prizes then get one while you can!
