  • Go to your Inventory and click on the Pages tab. Revengeance 15:08, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
    • Ah, I didn't see that there previously o.0; Navarr 19:18, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
      • Yeah, it isn't in the drop-down menu yet so it's hard to spot. Revengeance 11:07, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Re: Tactics

Basically, we've had a discussion, and believe that using white cheddar in the meadow, while not the only way to get the journal, is certainly the best. We're making no claim that it 100% works anymore, but it's harmless advice only. PLEASE leave it. It's not a crackpot theory, and it's been verified by 8 users. Thanks, zingbats.

This is not the place to post stuff that you are guessing "might" be true. Other people in the thread directly contradict your theory. I'll move it down to a separate "Hunting strategies" section on the page, but it's out of place in the table (especially since 3 out of the 4 pages have no info at all. -- B.Rossow talkcontr 17:58, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Front Cover

Per the devs in the most recent FBF, Silth doesn't drop a Plankrun page (at least since MH3 - they weren't sure if it dropped previously). -- camomiletea 17:27, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

Proper Names

Can someone who has collected the respective pages put up their proper name if it isn't already correct. I've already made the edit for the Dojo page. I believe at least the Gnawnia page is named wrongly. -- Grexx 11:20, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

I updated the Gnawnia pages based on what I have. I personally think it's an error and they meant to say Front/Back but as that's how it is in-game, that's how it gets listed here. -- B.Rossow talkcontr 14:01, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Gnawnia Pages

Just for records' sake, I caught the Dwarf mice within 10 hunts using Swiss and it dropped the Gnawnia Pages. The drop percentage for it probably approaches 100% from the previous discussions about using white cheddar as a "loot trigger". I also sent a novice friend who just started playing MH to the Meadow and he got it on the first Dwarf there too, using Marble. -- Grexx 12:33, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

I just caught a Dwarf mouse in the meadow using White Cheddar. It did not drop a page. Also, I have encountered a Pirate mouse (which stole my cheese) and a Birthday mouse (which I caught) so I am hesitant to endorse the claim that almost %100 of all approaches when using White Cheddar are Dwarf mice. -- Chemical 01:15, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
We're not claiming it's 100% guaranteed ... but it's darn close. I've read dozens of reports on this and you are the very first to report that you didn't get the drop using this method. Just bad luck. -- B.Rossow talkcontr 01:36, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
It possibly has a drop rate similar to the Students dropping Tokens then, where once in a rare while you have someone going "MY STUDENT DIDN'T DROP A TOKEN!!!" :P Anyways do report back when you get the pages so we'll get more information on it and can decide how best to phrase it on the actual article :) -- Grexx 02:05, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Okay, I should mention that I was in the Meadow staling White Cheddar (because it's cheaper than Cheddar), and I was hoping to multitask and catch a journal page at the same time. I was using the ACRoNYM and Explosive Base. Here's what happened, in order: stale, Pirate (attracted), stale, Birthday (caught), stale, stale, Dwarf (caught), Birthday (caught), stale, Granite (caught), Birthday (caught), stale, Dwarf (caught), stale, stale, Birthday (caught), Dwarft (caught with Plankrun's journal entries on Gnawnia). In summary, the third Dwarf I caught had the pages. (Bold for ease of perusal only.) -- Chemical 03:48, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
And just to clarify, I don't think anyone was suggesting that WC only attracts Dwarfs. After re-reading Chemical's note above, I'm not sure where that idea came from. WC is good because it eliminates the lesser mice, leaving the Dwarf as the most common "attractee" for WC. Better cheese may likely attract better mice, hence the recommendation against. -- B.Rossow talkcontr 02:21, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

External image links

Just noticed that all the images linked on this page point to the HitGrab server. At the risk of repeating myself for the bazillionth time, the devs have "asked" us not to link directly to images on their server. Could someone please save these images in a third-party account (Photobucket, etc.) and link from there instead? Thanks. -- B.Rossow talkcontr 19:50, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Table

While the previous table wasn't very well presented, the replacement is not an improvement either, so it'd be great if someone can come up with a less ambiguous way of presenting the information. The main issue that I can identify is that too much information is trying to be squeezed into a 2-dimensional table.

Possible improvements can be made by removing or merging some elements, or the tables can be removed altogether and splitting each of the pages into its own section. Personally I'm leaning towards removing the combined table and having their own sections with a common structure/layout. -- Grexx 13:28, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

I've changed the layout. If it is still not good please feel free to rollback to any previous version—Bencmq 15:13, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the quick response Bencmq, and B.Rossow for the touch up, the work is much appreciated :) The presentation should be better this way, since each page is a separate loot item after all. -- Grexx 16:11, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
