Using a Brie Alchemy Potion for example, if a hunter only has 15 Swiss cheese on hand, he will be able to convert that 15 Swiss cheese into 15 Brie cheese. However this results in a loss of 5 potential Brie cheese (from a maximum possible of 20), and is a waste considering the difficulty in obtaining potions. Thus converting potions when short of the required cheese is not recommended. | Using a Brie Alchemy Potion for example, if a hunter only has 15 Swiss cheese on hand, he will be able to convert that 15 Swiss cheese into 15 Brie cheese. Using a Brie Alchemy Potion or Greater Brie Alchemy Potion converts either Cheddar, Marble, or Swiss cheese into Brie cheese. Brie cheese is recommended when hunting at the Training Grounds and the Dojo because of the higher attraction rate it provides. Moreover, Brie cheese can be converted into Radioactive Blue cheese through the use of Radioactive Blue Cheese Curd Potions.
Conversion Charts
The particular potion and the type of cheese used in the conversion determine the amount of Brie cheese generated and the gold required (if any) per piece as listed in the tables below. Using a Brie Alchemy Potion for example, hunters will be able to convert 20 Swiss cheese at 50 gold per piece into 20 Brie cheese for a total cost of 1,000 gold. Alternatively, they can convert 10 Cheddar cheese at 150 gold per piece into 10 Brie cheese for a total cost of 1,500 gold.
Brie Alchemy Potion
Cheese Used | Gold (ea) | # Converted |
Conversion Cost |
Net Profit |
---|---|---|---|---|
Cheddar | 150 | 10 | 1,500 | 400 |
Marble | 100 | 15 | 1,500 | 750 |
Swiss | 50 | 20 | 1,000 | 1,000 |
Brie Alchemy Potions are dropped by these mice:
– rarely by Bionic mice in the Harbour.
– uncommonly by Bionic mice at the Mountain.
Greater Brie Alchemy Potion
Cheese Used | Gold (ea) | # Converted |
Conversion Cost |
Net Profit |
---|---|---|---|---|
Cheddar | 0 | 8 | 80 | 1,520 |
Marble | 0 | 12 | 600 | 1,800 |
Swiss | 0 | 16 | 1,600 | 1,600 |
Greater Brie Alchemy Potions can only be obtained:
– from Gifts dropped by Abominable Snow mice around Christmas.
– from Gifts dropped by Elf mice around Christmas.
Suggested Strategies
Cheddar, Marble, or Swiss
Since the cheese used in the conversion process can all be bought, the only factor in which cheese to use for conversion should be the the total profit calculated based on value of converted Brie minus the vendor cost of the cheese used. For converting Brie Alchemy Potions, the best choice is using Swiss. For Greater Brie Alchemy Potions, the best choice is using Marble.
How many to convert
For players who choose to convert their cheese into Brie cheese, a suggested strategy is not converting your potions all at once.
- Converting all potions at once requires more gold upfront. Converting just when the Brie is necessary allows a hunter to minimize unnecessary costs.
- Converting only when a hunter obtains Swiss as loot is also considered a good strategy as it does not require the hunter to make additional purchases just for the sake of converting into Brie.
Insufficient Cheese for Conversion
Hunters are cautioned that they will be able to carry out a conversion even if they do not have enough cheese to fully utilize the potion.
