- On 13 June 2011, the Desert Nomad mouse was chosen as one of three "Monday Mystery Mice", along with the Harpy mouse and Sorcerer mouse. It dropped SUPER|brie+ cheese as loot for one day only.
- During the Spring Egg Hunt 2012 event, Desert Nomad mice began dropping a bonus Desert Nomad Egg as loot for hunters who had obtained the Eggscavator.
- On 25 June 2013, they gained a vulnerability to Law power type traps, with the release of Varmint Valley.
